Smooth Sailing with Fred. OlsenFred. Olsen Cruise Lines | Braemar
Having never sailed with Fred Olsen before I was a little apprehensive for a few reasons. I was concerned that there may not be much to keep the kids entertained & that the passengers may also have been a bit put out by having kids onboard. I also thought that the shows would be quite low key and perhaps tailored towards the generation that Freds draws in.
My impressions did a total 360 degree fli…
Top marks MSCMSC Cruises | MSC Preziosa
We went on MSC Prezoiza not being quite sure what to expect, having been on P&O, Royal Caribbean, and Celebrity cruises.
The only reason we chose MSC, it suited our travel dates, we had read many mixed reviews and thought only way to find out, was to try ourselves. We chose the wellness experience, as the yacht club was full.
We are so glad we DID, the ship is awesome, spotlessly clean, not a fing…
Brilliant time on board OceanaP&O Cruises | Oceana
Really enjoyable week on board Oceana our housekeeper Joma was a super star, we had a problem with a noisy fan which she got sorted asap. The Headliners and visiting entertaintment was first class, all the staff including the crazy captain made this a fantastic week, the only thing I would have a little niggle about is the cabin balcony could do with a lick of paint.
British IslesFred. Olsen Cruise Lines | Balmoral
Had a fantastic cruise on Balmoral in August round the British Isles, loved the ship and everything about it. The weather is perfect to say it was a British cruise, had some sun to enjoy the lovely deck space on Balmoral. Giants Causeway is a must for anyone docking at Belfast.
Fly Med cruise on OceanaP&O Cruises | Oceana
Had a fabulous 1 week fly Med cruise on Oceana!! Such a lovely easy to navigate ship!! The itinerary was fabulous too! Athens….Acropolis is an absolute must! I much prefer the midsize ship now I’ve been on Oceana! Beach House is a must and don’t miss the theme nights on top deck if you like a bit of a boogie! 🙂
Lovely cruise on OceanaP&O Cruises | Oceana
First time on Oceana (have been on Ventura and Azura). Oceana is a lovely ship, clean and tidy in all areas. Usual high standards from all the staff. Food in MDR, buffet and grill all good and something for everyone. Entertainment good. Layout of ship easy to navigate. Itinerary good and was lovely week with visits to Athens, Mykonos, Katakalon and Albania with 2 sea days. We had a really nice rel…
Not up to expected standards of a 6 star cruise lineRegent Seven Seas Cruises | Seven Seas Voyager
Standards on Regent have gone down. Several times food was presented at the dining table cold. Breakfast room service never came as it was ordered. Plus other things that weren’t right. Won’t be sailing with Regent again.
This is the life, with the wife.P&O Cruises | Azura
Completely enjoyed our cruise on Azura, standards up to our expectations, food and entertainment excellent. We will be back.
23 days on AdoniaP&O Cruises | Adonia
Our first time on this ship and first impressions were very favourable. We had heard her described as being like a country house hotel and that was very apt. The library in particular was very impressive with a large selection of new books in a very spacious comfortable setting, no playing second fiddle to computers here! The crew were all friendly and helpful and you soon got to know them as well…
Azura cabin reviewP&O Cruises | Azura
Our whole cruise was spoilt by our toilet not functioning properly for the entire cruise! Our poor cabin steward & us reported it DAILY!!
A plumber visited twice, saying it would be a long repair but didn’t fix it!!!
We used public toilets more than ours in the cabin. We feel that if it was a toilet in a public area it would have been fixed immediately!
We feel sorry for the people joining Azura t…
Our time on board the AdoniaP&O Cruises | Adonia
We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise on the Adonia. As it’s a small ship, everything seemed to be two decks up or two decks down! We always managed to get a seat in The Conservatory, The Curzon and no problem getting a sunbed. There were no queues to get off and on the ship, everything was laid back, it made a pleasant change from being on a ship with thousands of people. The plays were an added bonus…
Adults only cruise on AdoniaP&O Cruises | Adonia
As Adonia is the same size as the small Princess ships I knew what to expect. Being a British ship there was no casino and in the Andersons lounge there was always an easy chair to sit on. This too in the Crows Nest, which was also beauifully furnished. The staff everywhere were pleasant and the guests friendly too. The food was good and I could not grumble at all. The daily entertainment programm…
France, Spain,GuernseyP&O Cruises | Azura
Cannot fault the staff, the facilities and the ship, all excellent only problem should have gone to Guernsey as part of itinerary but due to weather conditions tenders could not go to shore. We fully appreciate that weather can alter plans, but feel disappointed because we were warned the night before that they may be a problem but after arriving and sea being too rough, the only alternative offer…
Our cruiseP&O Cruises | Oceana
Fabulous cruise again this year, we flew to Malta to meet the ship. Visited several stops including Albania, Sarande which was very nice. The Croation coast is very beautiful never fails to impress.
Entertainment on board isn’t our thing but we were ‘blown away’ by a group of four lads called ‘The Beatles Experience’, best ever group show we have ever seen on board!!!
Overall a very lovely holiday…
Cruise holiday with P&O CruisesP&O Cruises | Azura
Very good all round. But food was often luke warm. Like hot food, especially soup. Did seem to rush you in restaurant at breakfast time. Was ok lunch and evening as was on freedom dining.
Excellent cruise on AzuraP&O Cruises | Azura
Just returned from a cruise around Spain, France and Guernsey (unfortunately too rough to dock in Gueursey). Had a great time on Azura, it had been five years since we’d sailed on her but we weren’t disappointed. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, entertainment good and food excellent, much improved from our sailing on Arcadia in January this year. We were freedom dining, but were lucky…
First cruise experienceP&O Cruises | Azura
1st Cruise experience had an amazing time, food, crew members and entertainment excellent. Only disappointment not being able to get into Guernsey due to weather conditions. Definitely won’t be our last cruise looking at brochure for next one in 2018.
Iberia cruise with P&O CruisesP&O Cruises | Azura
Had a week recently on Azura and had a brilliant time. Entertainment fantastic as was the food, we did go in the Beach House and Glass House but don’t think we’d go in Glass House again as it wasn’t so good, and it wasn’t good on Ventura last year either. Managed to dock at 3 ports but not Guernsey, and the lovely captain Camby kept us well informed of what was happening. The only bad thing we had…
Greece is the wordPrincess Cruises | Royal Princess
This is the second time in just over a year that I have sailed around the Greek islands on the Royal Princess and have also been to the Baltics on her sister ship, the Regal Princess.
Great ships that feel like you have tons of space to yourself even though the ship may be full.
The adult only pool areas provide a relaxing contrast to other parts of the ship if you’d like to relax.
This time I had…
Our first experience on an adult only cruiseP&O Cruises | Oriana
This is the first adult only cruise we have taken and we were very very pleased. This was also the smallest ship we have sailed on and we enjoyed it very much.
The only reason we have downgraded our rating on “condition” is because they were varnishing around the ship nearly every day and on occasion we found the smell very overpowering and particularly uncomfortable one evening when we were in th…
Hygiene not so goodP&O Cruises | Britannia
My second time on Britannia, the first being on her maiden cruise to fjords and second to fjords in august this year. I found the lack of enforcement to make passengers use the sanitiser or just to wash hands was very poor, even after a day out people just walked past the sanitizer and staff never stopped them, in the buffet dining room it was just as bad, I ended up quarantined in my cabin for 30…
Wonderful BritanniaP&O Cruises | Britannia
Wonderful cruise to Norway so relaxing Britannia is a beautiful ship.
ConcernedCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Constellation
We have recently sailed on Celebrity Constellation and whilst we knew it was an older ship (but not long ago had a re-fit) we did not expect the level of ‘shoddiness’ particularly around the deck areas. However, our greatest concern is the trend to go ‘all inclusive’ with the ‘free giveaway on the Select drinks package and the upgrades to Premium packages’ no problem with the deal but to fund it t…
5 star hotel at seaP&O Cruises | Britannia
First time on such a big ship, however we fell in love with Britannia. Decor, clean lines and modern. Atrium area lovely, Glasshouse, Beachouse and Limelight Club all superb. We would definately go on her again.
Cruise to NorwayP&O Cruises | Aurora
Brilliant first cruise to Norway. Loved every day. Thank you. Thinking about an adult only cruise to the Baltic in August 2018 now.
Roger and Angela Best
Great cruiseP&O Cruises | Britannia
Really great cruise of Norwegian fjords. Very well looked after and had a great holiday.
Wonderful holiday with Oceania CruisesOceania Cruises | Riviera
Our second cruise on the same ship and once again a superb experience, the quality of the food and choice of venues particularly outstanding.
Lovely ship, great holiday. A few little tweeks and it could be perfect.P&O Cruises | Oceana
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around Greece on board Oceana. A couple of things which let the holiday down were, firstly the travel cot. This was filthy, torn and really not fit for use. Children are not free so I expect something half decent for them to sleep in.
The port Albania which replaced another port on the itinerary was a really terrible choice of destination. All the passengers were bac…
"Butlins on Sea"P&O Cruises | Ventura
Biggest ship I’ve travelled on – too big!! Wrong time of year – loads of children everywhere. Since Carnival took over P & O the service has declined. Little touches such as “towel animals” on beds – messages on pillow chocolate (if they get any smaller they will disappear) interesting napkin shapes – downgrading of toiletries which are not replenished once used up. My travelling companion has lim…
Review of Oriana Iceland and Faroes cruise August 2017P&O Cruises | Oriana
We were very unsure what to expect as we hadn’t travelled as far north before, but we were really looking forward to the cruise. The Oriana had been recently refurbished and we felt that most of the changes were for the better. The seating in the Conservatory looked more basic now but it was far easier to get seated as many of the curved upholstered benches and large round tables had been replac…
Norwegian FjordsP&O Cruises | Aurora
Absolutely fantastic, excellent service would recommend and will be going on another P&O cruise.
Norway Fjords... 21/8 to 28/8P&O Cruises | Azura
Wonderful cruise. Everything was perfect. Great weather, awesome scenery and the usual first class service. Our cabin was fantastic. One of the best cruises we have been on. Looking forward to returning. Thank you very much Bolsover Cruise Club, your very friendly and efficient service was very much appreciated.
Norwegian Fjords cruise, five days, August 2017Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines | Balmoral
Fantastic holiday from start to finish. Newcastle Port of Tyne excellent and Eidfjord out of this world. Palms cafe highly recommend on board the ship. Inside cabin 5104 great. Staff are fantastic from cleaners upwards.
Excellent Cruise Experience on Cunard.Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth
Professional, friendly and helpful service from our Cruise Consultant Sue Parr. Excellent knowledge and all questions answered quickly. Cruise surpassed all of our expectations from start to finish. Faultless embarkation and disembarkation procedures. Stateroom immaculately clean, well presented and welcoming. Food always appetising and plentiful. Would not hesitate to recommend.
A bit of fly and flop on board MS WesterdamHolland America Line | MS Westerdam
Always a tricky decision – a two week holiday villa with pool, flights and hire car costs or a ten day cruise from Rome to Venice calling at some new ports and some revisited during the last two weeks of August? We wanted to fly and flop and knowing MS Westerdam was refurbished in April, we saw a great offer and booked earlier than we have ever done.
We enjoyed fabulous service as on our trip two …
5 Night Norwegian Fjord CruiseFred. Olsen Cruise Lines | Balmoral
We had an excellent cruise everything was perfect and we would go on another.
Fantastic Queen Victoria cruiseCunard Line | Queen Victoria
I ABSOLUTLTLEY LOVED THIS CRUISE IT WAS ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE BEEN ON AND I HAVE DONE 15 SO FAR.
Norwegian cruise 14 nightsPrincess Cruises | Crown Princess
Had a fantastic 14 nights cruise around Norway. 9 ports of call and the scenery is just magnificent. The cruise ship was lovely and clean. The food was delicious and plenty of choice. We used the Anytime Dining in the main restaurants and the Horizon court buffet on theme nights. The service was excellent and the waiters and bar staff all friendly and happy. The balcony stateroom was larger than w…
Great cruise with CunardCunard Line | Queen Victoria
First time we have sailed with Cunard although we have done about 12 cruises in all. This was a last minute booking and we felt the price was good value. Embarkation involved some queuing but disembarkation was very straightforward and it was great to be able to stay on the ship and use the facilities until 4 hours before the flight was due rather than being shipped off first thing in the morning …
Our Princess Cruise to NorwayPrincess Cruises | Crown Princess
The Crown Princess is no doubt a beautiful ship, and we went to some beautiful ports, but we cannot say we would go on a Princess cruise again. The current exchange rate did not help as all purchases on board were in dollars, and they added a service charge to that, as well as the $13.50 daily service charge per person. We found the on board entertainment during the sea days poor, no lectures or g…
Excellent CruiseP&O Cruises | Britannia
A lovely ship with plenty of space. Children’s facilities wonderful with excellent staff. Weather was perfect, itinerary good and varied. Service as always faultless. Downside, too many cutbacks from previous years but still good value for money. WiFi needs to be more reasonably priced in this day and age.
Our Med Cruise - August 2017P&O Cruises | Britannia
Just returned from our Summer cruise around France, Spain, and Italy on Britannia which was more eventful than expected. Having narrowly avoided the potential danger of the terrorist attack on Las Ramblas, Barcelona on the day we visited there our next port of call was Naples, where we then got caught up in the earthquake just off the Isle of Ishcia. After that things were relatively quiet. The Ca…
Danube DelightsViking Cruises | Viking Egil
Just returned from an 8 day cruise on the Danube aboard the Viking Egil. We flew from Manchester to Frankfurt with a 3.5 hour wait at Frankfurt before our flight to Budapest, where we boarded the Egil. Frankfurt airport was one of the best we’ve ever been to. It was modern, spacious, very well appointed with a large range of shops, bars and restaurants. The staff were very efficient and extremely …
Alaska cruisePrincess Cruises | Grand Princess
This cruise was more for me rather than my wife (she prefers warm weather cruising) to see the sights in Alaska & taking advantage of 2 days pre-cruise stop in San Francisco. We didn’t expect the weather to be great so did find the 23 kg luggage allowance a bit tight due to the clothes needed for all weather types. San Francisco is a great city to go round with plenty to see & do. Airport pick up,…
Icelandic ExperienceP&O Cruises | Oriana
This was a most enjoyable cruise, the itinerary was very good, with three stops in Iceland, which was a bit like landing on the moon, Isafjordur was spectacular we also took a dip in the secret lagoon hot springs in Reykjavik which was very relaxing, and a great experience. The weather was better than we expected with lots of sunshine and a little rain, the service in the Peninsula Restaurant was …
Our first cruise on the Queen Elizabeth.Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth
I have taken cruise holidays for the past 40 years. My first and second cruise holiday was on the Cunard Countess and somewhere in between those 40 years sailed on the Q.E.2 from New York to Southampton. So this trip was a new venture with Cunard. I was unsure on booking I thought it might be too upmarket but the lady who took my booking with you said she had sailed on the Queen Elizabeth and real…
A Lovely Small ShipP&O Cruises | Adonia
This is a ship for those who like cruising and not in a block of flats.
Only 710 passengers and it was intimate and friendly.
No theatre but a concert lounge where they provide very good entertainment.
Indeed on one of the seas days they put on a play – Relatively Speaking.
The waiters – bar and restaurant – were efficient but some could have relaxed and smiled a bit more (but that is a minor poin…
Islandic CruiseP&O Cruises | Oriana
A most enjoyable cruise assisted by really good weather.
Great little shipP&O Cruises | Adonia
A lovely small ship easy to get around, staff excellent and our cabin although small was fine. Thoroughly recommend Adonia.
Big Band CruiseCunard Line | Queen Elizabeth
Excellent cruise. No queues at check in. Had a free cabin upgrade from inside to outside.
Given second seating but no problem changing to first. Entertainment good. Comedian and the band over tunes playing 60s music was brilliant. I went to one lecture with Connie Fisher which was again excellent.
Ports of call were Rotterdam. Went in by shuttle no charge. Very surprised at the city, with its cube…
Adriatic CruiseHolland America Line | MS Westerdam
Really excellent service and food. We had a suite which was wondeful.
Mediterranean Cruise with P&O CruisesP&O Cruises | Arcadia
This is our ninth cruise with P&O and we were very disappointed. Our mini suite was not clean, the basin was chipped and the enamel was worn in several places and the silicone in the bathroom was worn and black. The air condition unit was very noisy and blew out ice cold air onto the bed. I was told this was normal although they came and taped up some of the holes in the unit. Our friends air cond…
Arcadia downsideP&O Cruises | Arcadia
Ship has a very poor atrium, very dull in all bars and no atmosphere. Tiping is about £100 plus each, plus you have to add for wine waiter etc. P&O Cruises need to up there game to match other cruise lines. Daytime activities were also very poor
Family fun in the MedRoyal Caribbean International | Freedom of the Seas
Our family of five (children 16, 14 and 11 years) had a brilliant holiday on Freedom of the Seas. We went in August in the Med so unsurprisingly the ship was full. However, the space available and number of staff/crew mean that one is never waiting too long to be served. The dedication of the team whether it be the room attendant or the bar staff is second to none. Cruises are expensive but once o…
Room for improvementP&O Cruises | Arcadia
We sailed to the Mediterranean on Arcadia 6th August 2017. I had read some poor reports about Arcadia i.e leaks all over the ship, decorating going on, nasty smells e.t.c. I have to say that none of this affected me. I saw one bucket collecting water from the ceiling in the Rising Sun pub and that was it. The ship itself is not brand new and sparkling or ultra modern. I expect some of this might b…
Norwegian FjordsP&O Cruises | Azura
Very good cruise all round. Food, entertainment, service excellent especially for our Coeliac passenger. Our only criticism was the cost of Wi Fi on board, especially when there is a young teenager in the party. The Norwegian people were lovely and their country spectacular. The star of the trip was the Deputy Entertainments Officer’s ‘tribute’ to Elvis! We still smile when we think of it. …
Planning a refit?P&O Cruises | Oriana
Let’s start with an obvious question; why do people go on cruises?
For most people, we would submit, the answer may be varied and complex – perhaps it’s the relaxed atmosphere, the good dining and never-ending supply of food, the rich array of entertainment and guest speakers, the expectation of meeting fellow cruisers (and the inevitable prospect of the ‘we’ve done more cruises than you h…
This cruise ticked every box.P&O Cruises | Arcadia
Our cruise was booked chiefly to celebrate a landmark birthday and what a good choice it was. The Arcadia and the entire crew provided excellent service and did everything required to ensure we enjoyed a most memorable holiday. The only port we found disappointing was the first call, Portimao. After that all ports had much to offer in their own right and the excursions we booked were well worth it…
Italy and Greek IslandsCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Reflection
We have done many cruises but this was our first time on Celebrity and we were quite disappointed.
The destination itinerary was everything we had booked for but we found the ship underwhelming.
We booked concierge cabins which were smaller than we expected with little storage and our daughter, husband and two children in theirs were so squashed that we had one of the children in with us.
Dining on AzuraP&O Cruises | Azura
P&O Cruises have lowered the standards in the Freedom Dining restaurant allowing shorts to be worn! We have never used Freedom Dining before, so maybe you can answer please?
Fjords CruiseCunard Line | Queen Elizabeth
We have cruised many times with Cunard – rather disappointed this time – the ship is in need of a refit in all areas – all looks a bit tired and shabby.
We felt the service personnel seemed tired and bored – and the food was well below the usual standard. Not up to Cunard’s standard!
Western Med on ArcadiaP&O Cruises | Arcadia
We have just returned from a delightful 2 week cruise on Arcadia from Southampton to the Western Med. Arcadia is our favourite P&O ship and although she is showing signs of wear, still offers a very nice experience. The plumbing has entered that interesting stage where it is ready for an engineering refit but we were never particularly inconvenienced.
We did an Iceland cruise on Arcadia in August …
HAPPY DAYSFred. Olsen Cruise Lines | Balmoral
Fred Olsen is not the first company you would think of for a school holiday cruise but it has never disappointed my family and the other families we have met while sailing on Fred Olsen during the summer months.
What makes this company and her small fleet of classic cruise ships so appealing?
Firstly, it is so easy to drive a short distance to join one of their local departure points in this insta…
Leaves much to be desiredP&O Cruises | Ventura
This is billed as a 5 day cruise however it really was only 3.5 days; we boarded at around 4pm on the Friday and were off at 8am on the Tuesday. The cabins, ours was a superior with balcony, were uninspiring and tired and felt more like a Premier Inn. The food was mediocre, plated up meals arrived stacked four high with their plastic covers keeping the food luke warm. No dishes of vegetables offer…
Celebrating my daughters 40th Birthday on P&O CruisesP&O Cruises | Ventura
Had an excellent 4 night holiday to celebrate my daughters 40th birthday. Could not fault it, food, service & entertainment my daughter cannot wait to go back on Ventura again.
Disappointing Experience and Everything Costs ExtraCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Eclipse
We have cruised with P&O a number of times previously and were reluctant to try another cruise line, but Bolsover Cruise Club described the experience we would have onboard with Celebrity Cruises as 5-star-plus. We booked a decent stateroom with a balcony and paid to travel Concierge Class with the Classic Drinks package and all onboard gratuities included.
After embarkation, which went smoothly, …
One of our best cruises to date!P&O Cruises | Oriana
The ship was really looking good after its refit and our suite was very comfortable and the extra treat of having a select breakfast experience in Sindhu every morning was very special. We weren’t all that comfortable with the freedom dining experience but will persevere. There were long queues every night and at times we felt as though the waiters were throwing the food at us in order to clear …
Almost completely good!P&O Cruises | Azura
Our 14th cruise with P&O Cruises. We have remained loyal because our son loves them and they do their best (not always brilliant!) to cater for my awkward dietary requirements. This was the 29th July departure to Western Med and after so many cruises it was great to go to some new ports of call and revisit a couple of old favourites. New to us were Elba, La Spezia and Cagliari; it was great to go …
Excellent as always on Celebrity EclipseCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Eclipse
This was my fifth year running on Celebrity Eclipse and it gets better and better. This ime for the first time we went to Russia and Scandinavia and it was wonderful, everybody should visit St Petersburg, we went on Celebrity’s own tours which were well organised with excellent guides. As always the meals were first class and the entertainment was brilliant many thanks to Eddy Jenkins the cruise d…
Med CruiseP&O Cruises | Azura
Hi just back from Med cruise overall great but disembarkation a bit chaotic.
Baltic CruiseCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Eclipse
The overall experience with Celebrity was good, this is the first time with them. The staff were very good and helpful, the cabin was a good size and the majority of the entertainment was good, we especially liked the glass blowing on board. My main concerns were the level of the gratuity charge, a charge being made for the shuttle bus and the specialist restaurant’s were expensive, on top of the …
This was our first cruise.
It cetainly didn’t disappoint.
It exceeded all our expectations.
From the travel down on inter cruise to the speedy check in.
The crew were so obliging and polite . The ship spotless . Cabins were attended to twice a day.
Food amazing .
Weather perfect .
We were celebrating our 20th Wedding Anniversary and this cruise made it perfect .
Overcrowded ship in need of some TLCPrincess Cruises
Ship’s vibration very noticeable throughout the ship; in our mid/high cabin, we could feel the vibration in bed at night – hence the low mark for comfort.
Too many people on board for the space available. Over 3,500 during the school holidays for a ship that advertises 3,080 Guests. Despite the rule about not reserving sun loungers, at 10:30 am – most had towels on to reserve them and staff unwill…
Standards loweredCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Eclipse
This was our 6th cruise on the Celebrity Eclipse but I am afraid standards have dropped since our last Celebrity Cruise two years ago. Instead of formal nights, they now have “Evening Chic” nights. These involve some passengers dressing for dinner as before, but others in short sleeved open neck shirts. This is stupid. Either abandon Formal wear altogether or strictly enforce it. This half way hou…
Mediterranean cruise on AzuraP&O Cruises | Azura
My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our Mediterranean cruise on Azura. We had very comfortable accommodation and excellent service throughout. We could not fault P&O Cruises and will definitely travel with the company again. We travelled with two children who took full advantage of the opportunities on offer.
Mediterranean cruiseCunard Line
The cruise itself was 5* excellent except perhaps the evening entertainment which I would rate 3*.
My experience with Bolsover was mixed. During my initial booking and subsequent telephone conversations the staff were very pleasant, efficient and helpful. My online experience was time-wasting and confusing e.g. I was asked several times for my passport number. About three days before sailing all t…
From Russia with LoveCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Eclipse
Excellent cruise from both itinerary and standard of service. From having a priority embarkation (AquaClass stateroom) at 10.30am, the holiday started immediately with a glass of welcome champagne, time to peruse the layout of the ship, book a select restaurant (Murano) for birthday/retirement celebration and upgrade from classic beverage package to premium (well worth the extra as this increased …
Brilliant BritanniaP&O Cruises | Britannia
This was our first cruise on the Britannia. Having sailed with P&O before, we were both excited to see what the new ship was all about. We were not disappointed. We sailed from Southampton to the Fjords for 7 nights in June. From arriving in Southampton and using CPS parking to boarding the ship, all this was such a smooth process. We did arrive 30 minutes before our alloted time, so just had to w…
Spanning 70 years in age, a family is wedded to P&O Cruises.P&O Cruises | Ventura
This Iberian coast 7-day cruise, our ninth with P&O, was as good as ever, We were a family numbering 16, aged from 15 – 85, and had a wonderful time. The youngsters (15-56) enjoyed all the ports of call, including a beach day in Vigo. The oldies (78 and 85) never set foot off the ship, happy to be pampered and entertained and to relax. We all had an equally good time. On our return, our oldest dau…
British Isles on OrianaP&O Cruises | Oriana
Lovely cruise on Oriana, looking much better since refit. A mixture of weather which is typical for the British isles but we were prepared for all.
First Time CruisersP&O Cruises | Aurora
This was our first time cruising and we are glad that we chose P & O’s Aurora to celebrate our special anniversary year.
From check-in to disembarkation, the whole P&O experience was extremely smooth and efficient. We chose CPS parking to leave our car with, and felt like VIPs when we arrived as they unloaded our cases and took our car away. Having been quite independent travellers having to encou…
Summer nightmareP&O Cruises | Aurora
We have recently returned from a 17 night Med cruise having done pretty much the self same cruise last year. Check in was slick and professional and the embarkation lounge luncheon and drinks service great as always. Sadly that was where it all started to go wrong as it was clear within a day or so that the behaviour and attitude of the guests left a lot to be desired. For example the pool usage w…
Recent cruise on Navigator of the SeasRoyal Caribbean International | Navigator of the Seas
Recently returned from a med cruise on Navigator of the Seas and disappointed with ship, thought it looked tired and in need of refurb. Also, disappointed that there wasn’t a sail away from Gibraltar solidarity with the people of Gibraltar or from other ports, don’t think I would cruise with Royal Caribbean again unless it was somewhere special but could not fault any of the staff as they were b…
Lovely ship shame about the evening mealsFred. Olsen Cruise Lines | Balmoral
We liked the Balmoral very much and the staff were excellent and very helpful.
Our cabin, a superior balcony suite, was very roomy with loads of storage space.
The bathroom was definitely overdue for a refit but again was clean and quite large.
The breakfast in both the Palms and the Avon restaurant were good but the evening meals in the Spey were very disappointing.
There was real evidence of sev…
Family friendlyP&O Cruises | Britannia
Had a fabulous holiday with my husband and 2 teenagers. Our first cruise & we are hooked! The kids did their own thing in the kids club. Loved the entertainment and the food was great quality. The ship was very clean. Would recommend to anyone of any age.
Fabulous holiday on BritanniaP&O Cruises | Britannia
We have sailed many times with P&O, however this was our first time on Britannia and it certainly won’t be our last!
What a friendly ship, with great service from all the staff!
The interior was very tasteful and classy, and although the ship was full you could always find a quiet corner, or if you chose be in the midist of the hustle and bustle.
The balcony cabin G709 was lovely although the balc…
Another great cruise with P&O CruisesUncategorised
We have just returned from two weeks on Oceana around the Med. Having read the reviews before going, we were a little apprehensive, expecting a “tired old lady” with poor service and food. How wrong we were. We had a fabulous time. The staff could not do enough. Our Cabin Steward kept our stateroom spotless and made sure we had everything we needed including beach towels and ice for our G&T in the…
Birthday memories on Jewel of the SeasRoyal Caribbean International | Jewel of the Seas
Wanted to spend the kids inheritance (SKI) but enjoy it with them so booked a birthday treat for 10 of us. What memories we made and 7 of them had never cruised before, but are now looking for their next trip. Two of the girls cried when they had to leave the ship and the friends they had made. The staff made it special by completing our requests with a lot of humour and attention. I have cruised …
Disappointing cruise with HurtigrutenHurtigruten | MS Nordnorge
We booked 12 round night trip cruise in June, flight with Norwegian was good but no one to meet you, as you have to find your way to the bus stop which was quite a walk. Bus runs hourly and one pulled empty and would not stop, waited 1 1/2 hours for the next bus. The check in at the terminal was awful and slow needed to collect a ticket, like a supermarket deli, but no one explained this and a lad…
Norway and IcelandP&O Cruises | Arcadia
Arcadia is one of our favorite ships in the P&O fleet but it sorely needs a little tlc. It is looking tired and we understand is to go for a partial refit later this year. In our opinion it needs a total refit. Several of the public toilets were broken and at times smelled a lot and we understand this had been the case before we boarded. We also wish the “Headliners” would learn some new shows. We…
Disappointed with Oceania CruisesOceania Cruises | Marina
Not much going on for solo travellers – cocktail meet up on first night, followed by one hosted lunch & dinner. Felt like the ship was taken over by 250 plastic surgeons & wives due to a business convention that was held on Marina – Bolsover could have done more to check this out – had trouble with reservations would not accept debit cards & then was difficult about accepting Scottish pounds even …
Queen VictoriaCunard Line | Queen Victoria
Very quiet no sales push, though shopping was expensive due to Greek tax. Did notice people who were allowed in restaurant not attired correctly when told that this not allowed. Spacious balcony. Loved the robe and slippers provided. Alcohol very expensive. But would go on this ship again over P&O princess as they becoming a little like butlins!!!!!
Norway, Iceland and DublinUncategorised
Our recent cruise was exactly as predicted.
From the check in to the check out was packed with enjoyment, entertainment and laughter with good food and wine.
The trips in Iceland were great, bit expensive but well worth every penny.
Cabin staff, waiters and staff in general were all very friendly and helpful with nothing that they could not put right.
A great experience on OceanaP&O Cruises | Oceana
Our one week cruise started and ended in Malta. Flights from LHR via Air Malta were very good as was the greeting, transport to and from the ship and check in procedure.
The weather for the whole week was hot and sunny with a very calm sea. Our balcony cabin was large, comfortable and spotless. Our cabin attendant was friendly, polite and efficient.
We had opted for second sitting in the Adriatic …
Arcadia J709 Norway Iceland and DublinP&O Cruises | Arcadia
My wife and I chose this particular cruise itinerary as a contrast to the cruises we had taken previously. We were apprehensive with regards to the weather conditions but our concerns were unnecessary. The weather in both Norway and Iceland could not have been better. The scenery in the Fjords was stunning, complimented by the weather. You need to book excursions to get a sense of the country as b…

Not for me queues, queues, queues… Left out in the rain for over two hours in stravanger…just queuing to get back on ship…resturants queuing..noise all the time on out side areas…people shouting down microphone for entertainment…

Amazed at the stupid price increases bottle of water 1 litre 6 dollars. Free with premium drinks package, if not a free half litre bottle with classic package or 4 dollars to purchase all these plus 18% commission.
We were told they have 3 pin english sockets, these have been removed so adaptors needed, ditto with shaving sockets. 330 ml beer 9 dollars. 11 dollars glass of wine. etc. Ship still of…
Norway and IcelandP&O Cruises | Arcadia
A friendly compact ship which we like a lot. It needs updating and refurbishment. Cleanliness needed a further effort, with dust in cabin unmoved for a fortnight.
The biggest complaint was the chairs in the lounge and bar areas. With an ageing population, many with bad backs seating needs to be fashionable but comfortable.
Nevertheless I am likely to go on the ship again.
Baltic Cruise July 16 2017Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Eclipse
It’s the third time we been on celebrity eclipse and this time was as good as ever. We’ve been on over 30 cruises on a number of different cruise lines and rate celebrity eclipse as the best.
Fjords Cruise 22nd July 2017Princess Cruises | Crown Princess
Service for breakfast in the upper decks was poor. Not enough room for passengers, the buffets for breakfast were hap hazard having to re queue after starters to get main meal and then again if you wanted toast etc. This area af the ship needs a re think. Lots of passengers complaining and rightly so!
The rest of the service for dinner was very good in the other restaurants.

5 Day Cruise with P&O Cruises, 19th July to 23rd July 2017P&O Cruises | Oriana

A pleasant week on the FjordsPrincess Cruises | Crown Princess
Had a very pleasant week on the Norwegian Fjords . We booked quite late so was happy to get a balcony cabin on C deck which have lovely big balconies. The ship is getting a bit tired looking but spotlessly clean. I know it is due a refit later this year. The crew were very friendly as they always are on all the Princess ships we have sailed on.
The food was mainly good a few niggles mainly in the …
Fjord Cruise 22-29 JulyPrincess Cruises | Crown Princess
The ports of call were excellent. The tours in Olden and the 8 hour coach tour to Gerainger were the best tours we have ever experienced (not inexpensive but we didnt feel we’d been greatly overcharged). The downside to the cruise was the number of staff. The main dining room staff were good but were so stretched. Waiting staff has been cut to the minimum. In the Horizon and Caribe buffet areas th…
First time on CunardCunard Line | Queen Elizabeth
Really enjoyed our Baltic cruise, impressed by Cunard and the Queen Elizabeth.
Only criticism would be that the evening meal in the Britannia restaurant was disappointing compared to the breakfast in there. It lacked any real wow factor which you might have expected. The food in the restaurant at breakfast and the buffet lunch in the lido were very good as was afternoon tea.
Loved the space on boar…
British Isles TourP&O Cruises | Adonia
Back home safe from a 14 night cruise on Adonia which included calls in Northern Ireland, Scotland – including the Orkney Isles, England, Republic of Ireland and Guernsey. Never mind Wales… your North Coast and Anglesey were mentioned as being visible when leaving Liverpool.

Gluten Free "special" was Jelly Tapioca Pudding - Crown Princess 13 May 2017Princess Cruises | Crown Princess
My wife and I have completed 25 previous voyages with Princess and six with P&O. Princess is one of our favourite cruise lines and their ability to cater for my wife’s gluten free diet has always been an important factor. We have also sailed with Holland America, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Azamara Club Cruises and Regent Seven Seas. We are not keen on the largest ships, so we have also patronis…
Cancelled portP&O Cruises | Oceana
Can someone be kind enough to explain to me why P&O Cruises ( and I assume the rest of the Carnival family ) do not refund part of the fare when they do not dock at a port as advertised.
Surely there is a contract between them and the punters, we have kept our side by paying. They have failed to fulfil their side of the contract, therefore obtaining money from us under false pretences and incorrec…
Disappointed with P&O Cruises!P&O Cruises | Oceana
Original booked cruise included ports in Turkey, notice from P&O not going there so included 2 others, we knew there was to be one tender during cruise captain announced going to Mykonos ( really wanted to go there) we have given up our berth to Cunard , later we heard this is a frequent thing?, who are going to lend us one of there tenders (makes you wonder did some of Oceana’s not work?) so that…

Feedback of Freedom of the SeasRoyal Caribbean International | Freedom of the Seas
We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise.
We have been on a couple of other ships, Allure of the Seas being one I think, with Central Park. I would love to go back on that ship but it just wasn’t available in the week that we needed to go. It obviously is a bigger ship that does provide more areas, such as the aerial water shows, and I love the Central Park area with the conservatory type area on the top…
Disappointed with the service on P&O CruisesP&O Cruises | Oriana
Admittedly our check in time was 3pm but we had travelled from the North West and arrived at 12.15. We were kept waiting until 2.35pm before being allowed to board ship. On the ship I found in the ‘The Conservatory’ [self service restaurant] that food was not being replenished and the next day only half of the self service section was open and we had to wait 25 minutes to get food and even then ce…
4 Day Cruise OrianaP&O Cruises | Oriana

Perfectly relaxing on BritanniaP&O Cruises | Britannia
This was our second time on Britannia and our first time in a suite. Our holiday started as usual with an early morning start for our 330 mile trip. Problems with sun loungers, towels left on beds for hours on end, very dirty. Public areas of ship closed too many times, Promenade deck was permanently closed at one end, other areas taped off daily. Lifts not always open, continually held on certain floors. Corridors very noisy.
Great Ship.Cunard Line | Queen Mary 2

We returned Saturday 22/7/17 from a 13day cruise on board the Azura. The food, service and overall cleanliness of the ship were very good. The new Headliner shows were great. Azura versus BritanniaP&O Cruises | Azura
Unfortunately my opinion of “Azura” went down a notch after I did a trip on “Britannia”. Although neither ship has the same cosy appeal as say “Oriana”, with two young grandsons in tow, on two weeks trip into the Med, compromises had to be made. Comparing the “Azura” with the “Brit” , not being a sun worshiper, I loved the comfortable rattan couches close to the “Brit’s” pools, where we could…
So glad we tried Princess CruisesPrincess Cruises | Crown Princess
Decided to try Princess for the first time as it was a similar Baltic itinerary to our usual P&O and we had heard good reports. We were so glad we did try it as we thoroughly enjoyed our time. Strawberries and cream while we watched Wimbledon at Movies Under the Stars, free ice cream, popcorn etc as well.…

The ship was beautiful and kept very clean at all times.
There was a huge range of activities day and night to choose from.
Getting on and off the ship was very well organised.

Another great cruise with Princess CruisesPrincess Cruises | Crown Princess
Another great cruise with Princess Cruises.
As always the crew were fantastic.
The ship was very good – clean but looking very slightly tired.
The food was very good but lunchtime in the self service a little predictable – fish and chips every day but a reasonable choice.
The 3 shows were excellent but would have liked more.
The activities were very good.
Baltic on Crown PrincessPrincess Cruises | Crown Princess
Cabin and steward good. Entertainment poor.
Food average but very slow service for anytime dining.
Good ports but be wary of poor organised trips particularly in Copenhagen. First time on Princess and I would use them again.
Tired Crown PrincessPrincess Cruises | Crown Princess
Having been lucky to go on P&O Cruises Azura in May this year, Crown Princess is a tired vessel in my personal opinion the food was not up to scratch! The best meals we had on board were when we paid to eat in the Crown Grill!!! Would have eaten there every night if I could have afforded it.
Med Cruise AzuraP&O Cruises | Azura
The food and entertainment was very good but we was unlucky to have a inside cabin at the side of the service elevators and as such the room was very very noisy at 07.15 to 08.15 and 21.00 to 22.oo , Room B312. If you get allocated this room move from it unless you like to get up very early or take your ear plugs with you, the reception can supply them if you forget them.
Our holiday on P&O Cruises AzuraP&O CruisesUncategorised | Azura
We had a lovely cruise but one or two things we weren’t happy about. Too many formal evenings, perhaps two would be about right, we don’t think it’s right to just have the buffet to eat in during the evening. We are not buffet people but prefer to be waited on & it seems unfair to pay elsewhere. The excursions were on the whole very expensive, one in particular being so Charming Bolgheri, the wine…
Cooler weather cruise to Norwegian FjordsCunard Line | Queen Mary 2
Our fifth cruise on Queen Mary 2. Decided to cruise in cooler climes although we do prefer the sun on our backs. The fjords were beautiful, especially enjoyed Flam and Bergen. The Flam railway was a must do! Everywhere so clean. Norway is very expensive as we expected and this was reflected in the price of excursions. However Cunard do price everything over the odds in our opinion. Do not buy Hop …
Brilliant mini cruise to GuernseyP&O Cruises | Arcadia
Having sailed on our first cruise on Britannia last year in the Caribbean, thought we’d try a mini cruise as a weekend break and an opportunity to see what the experience of departing on a cruise from Southampton is like. So, our choice of vessel was basically made for us but I was looking forward to trying another ship in the P&O fleet…
The boarding process was a breeze, I think it took us 40 min…
Cruise to Norway on QM2 July 2017Cunard Line | Queen Mary 2
As always a cruise on the QM2 is a wonderful experience. The real problem is the cost of everything, especially drinks. A cruise in the fjords is a wonderful experience but I won’t recommend a cruise that involves an overnight in Olden, it’s far too small to be there for more than a day at the most.
Fabulous trip on Oriana.P&O Cruises | Oceana
Excellent food brilliant crew and marvellous weather from day one on our Oriana cruise from Southampton on the 1st of July X712.
Out of the ten ports of call only Gibraltar and Pelermo turned out to be a disappointment with both ports being a bit scruffy and run down.
Although we’d only booked an inside cabin, ours was midship on Atlantic deck.
The cabins are small but perfectly adequate and follo…

Disappointed on OrianaP&O Cruises | Oriana
This is the third time we have cruised on Oriana and unfortunately it will be the last. Standards have slipped. There was no sign of entertainment staff in the ballroom if anyone travelling alone wanted to dance. I usually look forward to the evening dinners but this…
Bahamas with Oasis of the SeasRoyal Caribbean International | Oasis of the Seas
What a beautiful ship the Oasis of the Seas is – enormous but beautiful. We (family of 4 with 2 x 16 year olds) sailed from Port Canaveral having had a week in the parks in Orlando. Mention here for Alamo car hire – drop off and pick up at the port are brilliant and just 5/10 minutes on their shuttle to the ship. Captain Rob kept welcoming us to our “home away from home” and he was right felt very…

Enjoyable Baltics cruise.P&O Cruises | Aurora
Thoroughly enjoyed our cruise to the Baltics. The ports of call were all enjoyable. Took a full day tour in St Petersburg which was brilliant with Larissa, our guide, being a source of knowledge beyond compare without overloading us. So glad we did not do the two day excursion as one day was quite tiring. Others we talked to on board felt physically drained after the experience.

P&O Cruises Britannia - One Day I Will See St Peter PortP&O Cruises | Britannia
I’ve just came back from a 6 night cruise to Western Europe on board P&O Cruises Britannia. A fantastic ship with plenty of room seeing as there was 3500 people on board, having read reviews before we went with people moaning about the lifts and quality of food they must have been on a different ship. My only gripe is with P&O Cruises putting the Channel Islands on the itineray. For two years runn…
Midnight Sun Cruise With Princess CruisesPrincess Cruises | Pacific Princess
Chose the itinerary because of going to North Cape but the cruise offered so much more, like the midnight sun which was amazing, the 80 mile sailings down a fjord and the remoteness of Spitsbergen. At first the smallness of Pacific Princess took some getting used to but after a few days you came to appreciate the intimacy and friendliness of a lovely ship. The intimacy of Pacific Princess was furt…
First time on a Princess CruisesPrincess Cruises | Pacific Princess
All previous cruises were with P&O Cruises which made me elite and gave us our own special dinning area and place for cocktails. Princess Cruises know how to spoil and make you feel special. The only two negatives were the no tea making facilities, and the pack of goodies in the bathroom 🚽 is poor compared to P&O Cruises, oh and no bitter on board though it is on the menu. The food was fantastic a…
Adonia CruiseP&O Cruises | Adonia
We liked P&O Cruises Adonia, excellent food, friendly obliging crew, good sized bedroom and patio area. We did spend two days at sea and felt we could have called in Jersey and/or the Scily Isles. The least days at sea the better in our humble oplnlon. Monets garden was fantastic incidentally.
Baltic Family Cruise of a LifetimeP&O Cruises | Aurora
Seven of us went on this cruise together. There was myself, my daughter and daughter -in-law and four grandsons ages 21, 18, 16 and 11 years old. All four boys had exams during the last few weeks before the holiday and were ready to chill out. We all had the most fantastic time. For a holiday to please that vast age group it had to be very special and it certainly was. My 21 year old Grandson is a…

A wonderful adventure with Holland America Line on MS Amsterdam. A smallish boat with 1400 passengers and 600 crew, friendly staff in all areas making you feel very welcomed on board. Great cruise round Great Britain, the weather was rubbish but didnt really expect any different. Amsterdam, Dublin, Liverpool and Edinburgh great. Good way of seeing places and then deciding where you would like to see more of in our own country.
Very impressed with P & OP&O Cruises | Oceana
After 13 years of cruising with American ships, almost all with Celebrity, we decided to give our home line P & O a try. We joined Oceana in Valletta for a week, on a Med cruise and absolutely loved it. A late booking, we couldn’t get on their chartered flight so they booked us with Easyjet. No problem, an early flight and everything was perfectly organised and efficient on our arrival in Valletta…
Western Europe cruise on AdoniaP&O Cruises | Adonia
Wonderful little ship. Just like being in a country hotel. Wonderful staff and a lovely, friendly clientele. Would definitely travel on Adonia again.

No receipts were given for drinks although the final accounts were correct.

The Adonia was in the poorest condition of any ship we have been on. There were many faults and breakdowns . Although P&O cruises are still taken into consideration regarding status on board they are no longer applicable when estimating ‘most travelled passenger’. Only cruises with Princess are considered. They do, however, award further on board credit depending on status and is between $25 and $100 depending on status.

Great cruise on Queen Victoria!Cunard Line | Queen Victoria
Excellent service. Beautiful ship. Great food. Just a lovely experience from beginning to end. A word of caution though….. drinks prices are steep and then there is the 15% service charge on top. So, be prepared for a potentially pricey bar bill. That said, I’d travel Cunard again without question. Great time.
Enjoyment v DisappointmentP&O Cruises | Azura
We like the Azura and have been onboard her several times so our disappointment is not with the ship. The cruise to Iceland was chosen because we had never been there and the visions it conjured up appealed to us, e.g. bathing in hot springs, seeing geysers etc. Reykjavik was to be the highlight for us with an evening tour booked but then the ship had to cancel it’s visit as the Captain could not …

Disappointed not to have a breakfast area in MDR for Diamond and above. Now is only for Suite guests and Pinnacle. Also, no ‘Welcome back’ party only the top tier event. Think Royal Caribbean cruises are becoming more casual and only 2 formal nights on this 12 night cruise where we have always had 3 previously. Apart fr…

Glorious Norway on Crown PrincessPrincess Cruises | Crown Princess
We went right up to North Cape. Quite a lot of cloud but the scenery was fantastic. The facilities at North Cape and elsewhere are gradually catching up with the larger number of tourists and the short season. We find Norway much better than Alaska. Best Cruise Ever with Celebrity CruisesCelebrity Cruises
We had an amazing holiday with Celebrity Cruises. The ship is absolutely beautiful. We thought the Lawn club was voice to be a bit of a gimmick. It wasn’t! Cabin Unfit For PurposeP&O Cruises
We were sold a cabin that P&O Would never put in their brochure as it was not fit for purpose, there was no way of getting around the bed on either side, we had to sit on the end and get into bed by shiving up the bed. The drawers on the side could only be opened 6″ as they were pushed up against the bed. Totally unacceptable and it was admitted by the receptionist that they have a problem with so…

In fact last cruise on P&O was better all round
I always consider myself a Cunarder but after this last cruise I may well think again

Rocky Mountaineer and Alaska cruise.Princess Cruises | Star Princess
Really enjoyed our Alaskan cruise on the Star Princess, good food and facilities, excellent service throughout the ship. Well organised embarkation and disembarkation at the start and end of the cruise and for the various excursions. Would recommend a trip to Alaska, (not necessarily with Princess, read on please) beautiful scenery from minute one. On board entertainment was superb. Rocky Mountain…
Home from HomePrincess Cruises | Crown Princess
Our second trip on the Crown Princess but the first time we have sailed when the ship has actually been full. We were on a Baltic cruise so pretty hectic with just a few sea days. The entertainment on board was the best we’ve ever experienced on a cruise ship and we’ve been on plenty……because it was so good it was a problem getting a seat in the theatre so it was necessary to get there about 30 mi…

Our first cruise. A fantastic holiday. Very relaxing.
Music cruise on the Oriana June 20117Uncategorised
A very enjoyable cruise with excellent service by a superb crew. This was a music cruise which was a real bonus and a welcome relief from the over amplified and somewhat repetive Headliners Company.
The shops were disappointing with little choice for the ladies apart from the handbags!
We really like the decor of the public rooms.Beautifully done in art deco style.
OrianaP&O Cruises | Oriana
Excellent Cruise first class service charming waiters etc always willing to help.
Music Festival of the Sea excellent .
I really would rate this cruise first class
Super experienceP&O Cruises | Oriana
A very good experience on the Oriana. The Music festival far exceeded my expectations. every type of music was included I doubt anyone on this cruise would have found it difficult to enjoy each day.. Ports of call were also varied and well organised again all interests were in my opinion catered for. Well done Captain Box and all officers and staff
Another great time on the Queen ElizabethCunard Line | Queen Elizabeth
We recently returned from two weeks cruise on the Queen Elizabeth with friends. As always everything was brilliant, and the on board deal for another cruise next year was too good to miss.
Ship ill preparedP&O Cruises | Adonia
Having just returned from the first cruise on Adonia since she came back to P&O, all I can say is that the cruise was a bit of a shambles. The ship wasn’t ready and properly stocked for the cruise.
There was no house wine at all, and by the fourth day of the cruise, bar staff were going from bar to bar trying to find the wine you had requested. In the end we were limited to one red wine. I heard t…
THE BOWERS IN NORWAY 2017P&O Cruises | Aurora
THE SHIP, STAFF, CLEANLINESS.FOOD AND ACCOMMODATIONS WERE EXCELLENT. HOWEVER ONE OF THE TENDERS TAKING US ASHORE WAS NOT FIT FOR PURPOSE AS THE EXHAUST SYSTEM WAS BELCHING BLACK SMOKE WHICH MADE US ALL ON THAT DAY FEEL HEADY AND SICK. THE FUMES ROSE AS HIGH INSIDE THE SHIP AS RECEPTION. SURELY WHEN THIS WAS NOTICED ANOTHER TENDER SHOULD HAVE BEEN LOWERED AND THIS ONE REPAIRED. A CHILD OR AN ASTHMA…
Good as ever on OceanaP&O Cruises | Oceana
Cruised June 8-22nd. About 7th time on this ship. She is ready for next refit but that did not impede a great holiday.
Food. Excellent, entertainment excellent, ports highlight was P&O’s first ever call into Sibinek.
Excellent value all round.
Excellent entertainmentP&O Cruises | Oceana
Very relaxing week with excellent entertainment although P&O seems to be cutting corners even further e.g. Quality of food.
Pompous and morose!Cunard Line | Queen Victoria
We have now done several cruises on several different lines but without doubt this was the worst one! Whilst the ship is immaculately presented and the service is good it lacks any soul whatsoever. Catering to the 1920’s oldies who are on their millionth cruise with Cunard and want all the pomp and glory of bygone days, together with morose music and third rate entertainment, for us this was an aw…
Eastern Mediterranean June '17 Celebrity ReflectionCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Reflection
A relatively new ship, a well trained crew, a slick operation. There are a few minor drawbacks and reviews often do focus on the negative. So the negatives first: our balcony was not a cleaned properly, some of the super plush seating in the bar areas was not actually ergonomically practical for comfort, compared with say princess lines the cabins were smaller. On the positive side the service cre…
Good cruise shame about the weather!☔️Princess Cruises | Royal Princess
Good start when booked with Kelly Layton at Bolsover.
The ship looked really good as we arrived to park our car in Southampton, we boarded quickly no waiting around and a first class welcome.
Our cabin was ready and waiting ( it was 12 45 when we boarded) and our cases were not far behind us what excellent service.
On walking round the ship we decided that we preferred the Royal Princess, the Cari…
Everything can changeP&O Cruises | Britannia
Well I was invited to write this review so I suppose they will have to take the rough with the smooth …. so here we go … Our first cruise was in 2011 to the Med on Oceana … We picked that cruise because it had port stops that really interested us and we liked the look of Oceana as a classy traditional cruise ship. The cruise just happened to be a ” Strictly Come Dancing Cruise ” … which didn’t int…
Another Fantastic P&O Holiday On AzuraP&O Cruises | Azura
Azura is a fantastic ship, all the staff are so friendly and go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your holiday. The destinations were all loverly except from Lisbon which I personally don’t like for various reasons. The food was excellent as always, a really good choice everyday. I would recommend P&O and Azura to anyone. This ship is called the friendly ship and I can’t argue with that! …

Excellent Baltic CruisePrincess Cruises | Emerald Princess
Excellent Baltic Cruise the highlight of which was the two days in St Petersburg. The Crown Princess was in good condition and the staff as helpful as always. Boarding was very quick with plenty of staff checking in. Easy to find our way around the ship as we had been on her sister ship, Emerald Princess in November 2016. We used ship tours for transport into Bruges and Gadansk otherwise we either…
Baltic Magic!Princess Cruises | Crown Princess
Our Baltic cruise on the Crown Princess was a welcome break from everyday life! The service was second to none on a very tidy cruise liner, The staff were all very friendly and helpful and we also met some very interesting international travellers. Our balcony suite was always kept clean and tidy and food in the restaurants that we used was always delicious and presented well. The shows were very …
Could Do BetterP&O Cruises
Certain standards seem to have slipped on this ship – could not fault the staff in the Oriental Restaurant they were excellent, but on many occasions we were unable to find seats for various acts after we had our second sitting dinner, which meant we missed out on some good entertainment. Do not remember this happening on previous cruises.
Also, my partner’s preferred choice of cider was only avai…
All we could ask for - THANKSP&O Cruises | Oceana
First time with P&O and a smaller ship than we have previously cruised on. We were delighted with everything we experienced. The ship was clean and tidy and well looked after and our stay onboard was a pleasure. We…

We thought the ship was very very nice. Good decorations and ambiance. The Staff were incredible. Friendly, polite and quick. New Ports On The MedP&O Cruises | Arcadia
Our cruise was on Arcadia on a 17 day trip. We visited small ports that were new to us : La Spezia; Olbia; El Ferrol. The activity ratings for excursions were way off. One we went on was described as low activity. It involved lots of steps and steep inclines which many people could not manage and complained to the shore excursion person who merely said it was the lowest of all the excursions. She …
Bolsover to ArcadiaP&O Cruises | Arcadia
Relaxing wonderful cruise and it started with all the help of Bolsover, excellent service to start with, and I knew our cruise would be perfect even the room was perfect thank you.

We went on our first cruise last year (2016) from 25th June to 6th July encouraged by friends who have experienced over twelve cruises around the world. Wonderful ship - ignore the criticsP&O Cruises | Britannia
We sailed to Norway on Britannia 21st May ’17. We were travelling with our daughters and their partners and so booked three adjacent balcony cabins.
I was a bit uncertain about this ship beforehand as I had read some bad reviews. Previous to this cruise my wife and I have cruised on P&O’s Ventura and Celebrity Eclipse.
After arriving slightly early we were very impressed with the speed and efficie…
A brilliant June week in the Norwegian FiordsP&O Cruises | Aurora
What a great week. The Fiords were lovely and the ports of call were great. The ship was brilliant, atmosphere friendly, relaxed but professional and efficient, and we were made to feel like special guests throughout. Thanks to all the entire crew for a great, safe and very enjoyable holiday. We have already booked to sail on Aurora next year and look forward to another great holiday with P&O. The…
Silver Muse Venice to BarcelonaSilversea | Silver Muse
Our first Silverseas cruise. Ship was pristine, staff very helpful, food fantastic. This ship is very different as the dress code is dictated by each restaurant and there is not a main dining room. You have to make a booking for each restaurant and if you leave it too late you may not get your choice or time of dining that you prefer. Two restaurants carry an extra charge per person. No shorts all…

We have just returned from our 8 night carribean cruise what can I say loved every minute.
Food fab ate in the American icon a lot and windjammer.

Ship very clean staff friendly can’t wait to go again.
Rather disappointed with the ship, think again when booking a holiday on the OceanaP&O Cruises | Oceana
This was the first time I have booked a holiday through Bolsover as I normally book direct but would definitely contact them again to arrange my next holiday.
Our holiday was an experience when we travelled on the Oceana and visited destinations for the first time.
The holiday didn’t start off too good with a flight from Manchester to Malta, the seat and leg room was appalling with a man next to m…
Malta airportP&O Cruises | Oceana
Malta airport cannot cope with more than one plane at a time. It was chaotic took nearly one hour to get through immigration, arrived on the ship 3mins before muster. Wouldn’t do another holiday out of Malta. Oceana is a friendly ship but she needs some refurbishment. It’s the first time my luggage at the cabin before me.
The Med on ArcadiaP&O Cruises | Arcadia
The menu choices have once again gone down. It would appear that since the celebrity chefs got involved that the choices of good basic food has gone.
The Guest speaker was put in the globe where a large number of the seats can’t see the screen and this was important for his talks.
The Headliners shows were the same as we have been watching for a number of years although with a different caste. Abo…
Any more green beans on Arcadia?P&O Cruises | Arcadia
This was our second cruise on Arcadia, the first having been 4 years ago. The ship was much as we remembered it, although the overall condition had deteriorated somewhat. We have been aware for some time that P & O had been reducing staff numbers, and it appears that on-board maintenance is one thing that has suffered. When this was mentioned, we were told that the ship was due a refit shortly. Th…
Aurora to the Baltics - May 2017P&O Cruises | Aurora
I stayed overnight before the cruise at the Holiday Inn on the waterfront in Southampton. There is nothing special about the hotel but it is very clean and comfortable. The public areas have been refurbished in recent years and the bedrooms are gradually being refurbished. The ones at the front of the hotel overlook Southampton Water and are good for ship-spotting. Park-and-stay ra…
P&O Cruises VenturaP&O Cruises | Ventura
Menus had too many fish dishes for our liking.
We had twin beds and paperwork quoted queen bed, not possible to push together. Hit our heads on the upper pullmans. Cabin boy was new but needed more help as things were not done properly. Service at meal times was very good. All staff were also very pleasant.
3 Day Ventura Mini CruiseP&O Cruises | Ventura
We booked three nights mini cruise to Zeebrugge, booking through Bolsover cruise club was easy and informative. Boarding the Ventura was seemless, our cabin was a superior deluxe and was very spacious. We also had freedom dining which was an excellent idea giving us freedom to dine when we wanted. The entertainment as very good. Food was not as good as previous cruises on P&O. The staff and servic…

First time on Oriana this year. Lovely ship, newly refurbished, good service. Would definitely go on her again.
Lovely cruise and shipP&O Cruises | Oriana
Clean comfortable outside cabin in good position. Had to ask cabin steward for refills for coffee, sugar, milk, biscuits etc. at start of cruise as they were missing. Food good, although not as good as last year on P&O – there were some complaints about tough steaks. Lovely ship, good facilities but entertainment fair. First week great to our tastes – a fabulous lady singer and trumpeter and a gre…
X709 CanariesP&O Cruises | Oriana
The Oriana (our favourite ship) was very well presented after refurbishment and overall a good job has been done, however the Atrium has lost its wonderful waterfall, replaced by greenery, we were told it was due to water erosion? The itinerary was poor apart from Lisbon, Madeira and Grand Canaria. The weather was mixed but not really hot or pleasant. The service was back to the old days of 15 yea…

Our APT Travelmarvel River Cruise May 2017APT Cruising | Travelmarvel Diamond

Crown Princess Scandinavian SurprisePrincess Cruises | Crown Princess
A lovely ship with very hardworking staff. However we had a surprise most days, not of the pleasant variety. We should have embarked at 4pm but it was actually during the early hours of the next day due to ‘late embarked which then became problems with the computer.’ Communications were neither timely nor clear. However we were all compensated for this disruption. Next day at Zeebrugge coaches wai…
Britannia from a wheelchair user's point of viewP&O Cruises | Britannia
A week on Britannia to the Norwegian Fjords was a spectacular trip.
Stunning snowy views, fantastic sunny weather, our second cruise there the first week of May, unbelievable.
My husband pushed me easily around the ship from our accessible cabin. We were next to the forward lifts, which has a staircase for able bodied users which does lessen lift use, as does the rear of the ship.
Not up to the usual Princess standardPrincess Cruises
Not up to the usual princess standard unfortunately. Service in the main restaurant was well below previous cruises. Coffee shop was excellent Major disruption leaving Southampton hampered our day in Bruge disappointing did not dock as Helsingborg although did get extra time in Copenhagen lovely day in Olso
A good experienceCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Eclipse
The staff on our Baltic Cruise were excellent. We were in Aqua Class and the restaurant rservice there was exceptional. The Speciality Restaurant MURANO provided an intimate setting for top class food and was worth the additional cost. The cleanliness and comfort on board were very good. There were lots of activities on board for the sea days providing something for everyone. There were a couple o…
3 night taster cruise on VenturaP&O Cruises | Ventura
We had a fantastic time on this short cruise. The day at sea was just us anchored in the British channel with beautiful weather. The entertainment crew were great and Badness’ performance was brill.
We had a corner balcony room at the very back of the ship which I would defo book again because the balcony was huge, B748.
Only drawback for us was that it was during school holidays and the ship was …
Seven super nights aboard BritanniaP&O Cruises | Britannia
We have just returned from seven nights aboard Britannia cruising round the bay of Biscay, which on this occasion was very kind to us! It was lovely to discover a couple of new ports (Bilbao and La Rochelle) as well as some familiar ones (La Coruna and St. Peter Port) and we can highly recommend all four. It’s very easy to get around Bilbao as there are trams, metro and buses and the city is a per…
Absolute ExploitationRoyal Caribbean International | Freedom of the Seas
This was our first and last cruise. We had paid tips in advance but notwithstanding this every drink we purchased still carted an 18% service charge and tax- therefore the price shown on the menu was false! I hated the continuous sell, sell, sell! The entertainment was best described as Burkina/Hi de Hi! Truly awful waste of time and money!
The perfect trip on Celebrity EclipseCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Eclipse
When you return off holiday people always say “Good Holiday?” and normally we reply politely “yes good thankyou”. Well, as regards our latest Scandinavia and Russia Cruise it was the perfect trip! We have done many cruises in many parts of the World but never gone from Southampton. This was a totally refreshing and surprising change; no worries about luggage, airports, flying etc just a simple dri…

Not the sameP&O Cruises | Britannia
Recently returned from a cruise on Britannia and felt disappointed with the fall in standards. Britannia is too big and does not offer the same experience of quality and service. This ship does not have sufficient pool space for so many passengers. Also insufficient number of hot tubs – these were always taken over by children anyway. There was a general lack of the personal touch we have experien…
Azura suites starting to show their ageP&O Cruises | Azura
Six years since last on Azura, 7 night cruise Norwegian Fjords, suite C751 at the aft of the ship. First impression suite really starting to show its age now in particular the shower bath area, grouting and mastic sealant work carried out during our cruise to replace black mouldy tile joints. Balcony space was severely limited with a column, also restricting view, this was not advised at time of b…
Don't believe the bad reviewsP&O Cruises | Britannia
We returned from a week on Brittania a week ago, we sailed around Spain, France and Guernsey. Prior to sailing I was worried about all of the negative reviews of Brittania as it was our first cruise – my worries were totally unfounded as we had a fantastic time. The ship was clean, food fantastic, entertainment amazing and staff were top notch. There were lots of comments about how busy the lifts …

Fabulous short break cruise to Amsterdam and Zebrugge (for Brugge).P&O Cruises | Aurora
We celebrated our 35th Wedding Anniversary on this lovely ship. We had never been on Aurora before so was keen to see what this mid sized ship was like. Having recently had a knee replacement operation she was a perfect size for getting around. The staff were so lovely and went ‘over and above’ on several occasions to be helpful especially with my limited mobility. The food was wonderful and as I’…

Enjoyable cruise with good flights/transfers /check in.
We were assigned fixed dining and unable to change to freedom. Our other 4 people at the table did not turn up most nights leaving us to dine alone. Many other tables had guests missing. It is time P&O increased the availability of freedom dining as this is preferred by the majority of guests. If not customers are likely to move to other line…

Another wonderful cruiseRegent Seven Seas Cruises | Seven Seas Voyager
My wife and I have been cruising since 1968 and have been on many cruise lines, but since finding Regent in 2008 we have been so totally satisfied that we would not now even consider a different cruise company. However having said that, we are taking our extended family including two teenage grandchildren on the Royal Princess in a few weeks. We did a price comparison between this ship and the Voya…
Amazing Ventura Cruise experienceP&O Cruises | Ventura
Amazing 19 day cruise around Greek Isles. Loads to do on ship if you want to immerse yourself into cruise life, but equally loads of quiet areas if you prefer not to. Good trips. Fantastic embarkation and equally fantastic dis-embarkation. Amazing food and spotlessly clean ship. Plenty of sun beds. We went through Bolsover Cruise Club for the first time and they offered a superb service from start…
CruiseP&O Cruises | Ventura
Our cruise on the Ventura was very nice. just a few things was not up to normal.
1. A good thing, P&O did a check on the life boat drill all ship cards were scanded to check every one was there.
2. P&O changed the show times on board at night, we have always gone on second sitting, so as to see the show at 10.30pm. This was not to be, we had to see the show at 7.30pm. As second show was at 9pm.
Well worth it.Uncategorised
Very enjoyable cruise. Friendly staff, excellent range of entertainment. Whilst ship is not as polished or plush as larger ships, it makes up for this with general ambiance and Fred lines. Loved the 5 floor atrium and breakfast at la Jardiniere. We went round the med and loved Valletta as first port . Quick transfer from airport 25 mins. Will go on her again.
Baltic Cruise May 2017P&O Cruises | Aurora
Would recommend this itinerary and cruise first class.
NEVER AGAINP&O Cruises | Britannia
My sister and I cruised to Norway on Britannia in May. We have been on other P & o ships too. Somehow this latest ship was lacking the ambience of, for instance, Oceana. She is huge and we were not the only people to feel that we would need a holiday to recover from this one! So, if you do go on this floating city, be prepared to walk and walk! The lifts were frequently full, especially at meal ti…
A Baltic ExperienceP&O Cruises | Aurora
First time with P & O for 3 years and clearly there have been changes – the same with all cruise lines. But the service, food, entertainment, cabin etc were very good. Prices on board were reasonable and it was a fantastic experience (though I have been to the Baltic before) but I still have two issues
Tips – the cruise was for 16 nights so to pay £12 per cabin = £192

A great way to experience the contrasts that are Russia.Viking Cruises | Viking Helgi
Great ship, state rooms clean and large enough, good bathroom facilities. The ship is 30 years old but in really good order of maintenance. Smell of fresh paint at each port.
Management team could not have tried harder to ensure our comfort and safety and were always friendly, courteous and professional.
Waiting staff were a real treat and could not do enough for us, made us feel really special.
Transatlantic five starCunard Line | Queen Mary 2
This was a fly out – cruise back on the transatlantic crossing. We flew from Edinburgh non stop to JFK New York on an American Airlines flight which is timed at 6hrs 40min but got there in just over 6 hours. Baggage recovery and immigration and customs were swift and congenial. There was a problem with being met for our transfer to Manhattanwhich is currently under review. However our Crowne Plaza…
Wonderful cruise on refreshed OrianaP&O Cruises | Oriana
Embarkation went very smoothly and we were soon in our cabin (deluxe outside) C156. This was very roomy with plenty of hanging space and a useful sitting area. This was our first cruise on Oriana since her refit and we were impressed. She looked pristine. All public areas were much better than before but the greatest improvement was the Conservatory. It is now a light and airy place with fresh til…
Food on board very bland except breakfast. The horizon restaurant windows you could not see out of quite a few they looked like they were covered in paint, some parts of the ship still in need of a refit, most of the staff on board were friendly and very helpful. My wife has a few comments about some of the oasis staff she was walking up stairs and overheard some of the staff say she does not need…
Fabulous FjordsCunard Line | Queen Elizabeth
Fabulous trip. Thoroughly spoiled by attentive staff. Food and service in Princess Grill was excellent and my gluten free diet was met completely without fuss. Impressive shipP&O Cruises | Britannia
Lovely ship in good condition where staff do all they can to help. Food was excellent and entertainment varied and very professional. No hesitation in returning for another cruise. Only minor problem was the omission of a final bill at end of cruise …. had no response from P&O on this point.
NORWEGIAN FJORDS IN MAYP&O Cruises | Britannia
The booking process with Bolsover was excellent as usual, with helpful and patient advice.
Boarding at Southampton was relatively quick and efficient.
We had a cabin on A deck, with balcony overshadowed by the overhang of the upper deck. This was not an issue as we had great views and did not want to sunbathe.
The cabin itself was not overly large but efficiently laid out with ample storage and ha…

We had a lovely holiday – visited wonderful ports – weather amazing – food fabulous but far too much cabin and balcony maintenance going on during time which we had paid for!! Our mini cruise was fantastic on Britannia from start to finish. We booked a trip to brugge beforehand and everything went so smoothly. All the ports visited on this cruise were really lovely, especially in Croatia. As the ship is small, there was no waiting to go ashore either in tenders or at the docks. The food is excellent, and the inclusive drinks are great as you have no added shocks when the final bill arrives! As gratuities are also included, the staff are very well trained and look after you knowing that they do not recei…

Service from checking in to leaving ship was excellent, staff very polite nothing too much trouble. Refurbish of ship was very good, have been before so we notice differences, would be going again.
World Cruise J701P&O Cruises | Arcadia
A great cruise on a very friendly ship. We thought 114 nights might be too much but we enjoyed every minute on this western circumnavigation.
The food and service in the MDR ( Freedom) was excellent and the two speciality restaurants, which we used a lot, were outstanding. The only downside on the restaurants was the lack of a Glasshouse or Beach House for such a long cruise. The entertainment was…
Norwegian CruiseP&O Cruises | Britannia
Just arrived back from this cruise and could not fault anything. The food and service were amazing will be going on Britannia again hopefully in october. Amazing.
Norwegian AdventureP&O Cruises | Arcadia
Both the ship, service and itinerary were all first class. Having completed the same trip to the Norwegian Fjords some 9 years ago in the same ships we were once again impressed by every aspect of the cruise. It was also once again noticeable that we paid reasonable prices for our drinks and wine with no extra service charge. A pleasant change from many other cruise lines!
We would like to commend…
Big can be goodP&O Cruises | Britannia
I cruise on my own and Brittania suits me. There’s masses to do, so many places to eat, the gym and dance floor more than adequate. I love that I can get my horlicks before bedtime (after dancing for 5 hours). And I can choose to eat with a group or on my own if I wanted to. Only snag is, the promenade is not wraparound, so you have to run/walk 7 laps to do a mile…Did I say the food is amazing? Th…

Great ship, great food, excellent service, easy access well organised AND Real ALE what a super addition to our most favoured Ship THANKYOU Looking Forward To Next Trip
Oriana CruiseP&O Cruises | Oriana
The refit on Oriana has made it great again, however the priority embarkation/dis-embarkation caused us annoyance and I have stated on the P&O return that they should go back to the old system with the priority lane.
Service in Sindhu and the Beach House was great but as you pay extra so it should be. Other areas seemed to have problems with service and I could have made an official complaint but …
Nice to experience a different shipCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Eclipse
A beautiful ship once inside lovely stateroom. The food was excellent buffet well planned P&O could take some tips. This was a short cruise to try Celebrity and more than impressed we would definitely be interested in another trip on this ship. Entertainment was also excellent something different. It was good to have a change after cruising with P&O for 18 years
Golden weddingP&O Cruises | Oceana
October 2016 we celebrated 50 wonderful years, after family celebrations we sailed on Oceana for the second time in a long time, I had forgot how lovely she is, we had a suite on B deck, an amazing balcony wonderful steward, she was so very kind to us, we had a nice dinner table charming young men to serve us, we sailed to the Canary Islands, we met friends that now live in Lanzarote and spent the…
First Cruise with CunardCunard Line | Queen Elizabeth
We went on our very first cruise to the Canaries & back on Queen Elizabeth, we thought it would be like a long cruise journey, WOW boy o boy were we wrong, we both felt like royalty on board this ship. The food, service, comfort and entertainment we received on this ship was amazing. We have booked another cruise with Cunard on the newly upgraded Queen Victoria so we think it is safe to say we hav…
The ship should be named 'Amazing Azura'P&O Cruises | Azura
Cruise A710 Canary Islands 23 May – 12 nights. This was our first cruise from Southampton and our first with P&O. I can honestly say that it will not be our last. Our only other cruise was NCL Epic last year.
We travelled down to Southampton the previous day from Cheshire on the train (bad move but that’s another review). We arrived at the terminal by taxi just before our boarding time. As soon as…
A good way to do a river cruiseFred. Olsen Cruise Lines | Braemar
We went on a French river cruise, we liked the idea of going on an ocean going liner from Southampton to the rivers, rather than fly to the continent and go on the small river boats. We sailed quite a way up the Gironde to Bordeaux and along the Seine to Rouen and had trips to Bayeaux Tapestry and Paris. for us it was a good way to see these things.
Stunning shopCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Eclipse
Embarkation bit like cattle market, confusion of inclusive drinks, and poor ervice in restaurant. Fab cabin. Atmosphere on ship was great
Alaska CruisePrincess Cruises | Coral Princess
The experience of seeing the glaciers and experiencing the Alaskan landscape and heritage was very good. To catch the sight of a glacier crumbling in front of my eyes was both awe-inspiring and at the same time sad as this is being caused by the same people that were there viewing the spectacle. However, when it comes to looking at the ship and the service provided I felt that the ship could have …
Drink the ship Dry!Celebrity Cruises
Cruise of 2 nights, ‘3’ days.
This was a specific trip on our part to visit the D-Day Landing Beaches. The excursion we booked and undertook was excellent. However, if the trip as a whole was to encourage me to cruise with Celebrity there are a few matters which need to be addressed.
We have cruised before. We enjoy the later sitting for dinner but this was the first time ever that the evening ent…
Surprise overallCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Eclipse
On boarding Eclipse had lunch and obligatory cocktail !😀 Went to find our cabin and was more than pleased with size of cabin – it was larger than any other one we had stayed in on other cruises – decor very good and bathroom excellent also. Food fabulous and entertainment met our expectations. Overall we would definitely go on Eclipse again and would recommend to others.
Chilling out on Queen ElizabethCunard Line | Queen Elizabeth
We have just spent a wonderful week on Queen Elizabeth visiting Lisbon Oporto Vigo and Guernsey. The ship was so clean and all the carpets looked brand new . Excellent service from everyone on board and top class entertainment. The whole ambience on board was so relaxing with the lovely relaxation music by the pool and in the buffet restaurant on an evening . The harpist, and the string quartet al…
First class cruiseP&O Cruises | Ventura
Have travelled with P&O Cruises previously and enjoyed every one. This cruise was to med. The cruise was first class, as were the cabin stewards, waiters in bars, coffee shops and dinning room too, food was first class and very varied shall be booking again.
Freedom Dining!!!!!P&O Cruises | Britannia
Britannia is a much improved ship apart from the Freedom Dining. When you have to wait up to 50 minutes to be seated there’s something wrong…. if when you are finally given a table from having your order taken it takes 1 hour and three quarters to compete your meal….. again not acceptable. Couples want to sit on a table for 2. We noticed while we were “waiting for food to be served” there were lot…
Not the big ones!Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines | Braemar
Our last cruise, 2016, was to the French rivers with Fred Olsen’s Braemar and for people of our age (80 +) was a well thought out cruise with good overnight stops. This was our 29th cruise (and probably our last) . We have cruised with many lines but have found Fred Olsen to be more suitable for our taste over the big lines which we found to be some what overwhelming. Like other other Fred Olsen s…
Celebrity Reflection is a disappointment when compared with other Celebrity ships we've cruised onCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Reflection
This was our first cruise on Celebrity Reflection and we feel that it does not reflect as well on the cruise line when compared with all the other cruises we have made, and enjoyed, with Celebrity.
One thing we have never experienced on a cruise before was the constant accompaniment of a dog in a stroller-in the Luminae restaurant, in Michael’s Club, by the dance floor, wherever we went or were …

Canaries Cruise May 2017P&O Cruises | Britannia
Some recent reviews have emphasised the negatives on Britannia, we had an excellent experience and failed to understand moans about lifts etc. Yes its a large ship so takes time to get end to end- surely expected? The atrium lacks the glitz of other ships but then again coffee and shopping do not rate highly on my wish list. Staff and service exemplary and boarding and disembarkation smooth and we…
Oh Dear !!P&O Cruises | Britannia
Oh Dear – this was an experience that I wouldn’t like to repeat. Everything started superbly, parking at Southampton, relieved of luggage and the next time we saw the luggage was inside the cabin, superb. The cabin itself was very good, no complaints there and from there on in the cruise went downhill. Three full days at sea was hard to cope with especially as there was an unscheduled stop in Fran…
Beautiful ship, lovely staff.Royal Caribbean International | Independence of the Seas
Ship is as beautiful as ever. Staff in all areas are courteous and friendly. The Windjammer is always “jammed” full so my least liked area due to a few ignorant people who pushed in at the front of the queues. We mostly ate in the restaurant and the food was great. Loved the Viking Lounge. In all a lovely holiday.
Tax and the EUCunard Line | Queen Elizabeth
Have just returned from Hamburg on the Queen Elizabeth, we were told we had to pay an extra 20% tax on anything we bought on the ship and were not allowed to buy alcohol on board all because we were not leaving the EU, having been to Le Havre and Zeebrugge last November and we know we did not pay tax despite what Cunard say, Has anyone else come across this ?
How Bad Can A Cruise Get? Total Waste Of Money.P&O Cruises | Arcadia
Outer appearance of ship -dirty. Windows – Very dirty. FOOD in Meridian Restaurant Very Poor – Badly Cooked – Not well presented. Totally lacking in imagination.

Final Word – No More Cuises for us- what should have been a…
Excellent Cruise, One Of The Best We've HadP&O Cruises | Ventura
The ship was one of the biggest we’ve been on, however it was a friendly ship. Entertainment was excellent, with the strictly dance team and the dresses used in the strictly dance TV series. They all carried a photo of the celebritiy who had worn the outfit and what dance they performed with which professional dancer. The food was excellent from the formal evening dinners to the self service buffe…
DisorganisedP&O Cruises | Ventura
Most disorganised ship we have ever been on and will not go with P&O again. Some staff members were actually rude.
Could be betterP&O Cruises | Oriana
We have been on other P&O Cruises ships and this cruise was disappointing in comparison. The decor a little tired and a ship smaller than we are used to.
As previously food excellent and entertainment good quality, however we had service issues in 2 bars where we waited over 30 minutes for our drinks in a not busy time in the end had to leave drinks as the restaurant buzzed us.
Super valueP&O Cruises | Ventura
Thoroughly enjoyable cruise. Excellent value for money. Strictly Come Dancing themed cruise so for the first time ever the ship felt full. However service and quality not sacrificed because of this. Ship in some areas looking a bit tired e.g. carpets and bars. Not a big fan of the charges for internet, feel they are too high but easy to pick up free wifi in every port. However it is good to have a…
Western Med CruiseP&O Cruises | Arcadia
This was one of the best cruises we have had (no. 31). The weather was perfect, the trips we booked were excellent, particularly Sardinia. The food was also very good and to our taste.
Good but...P&O Cruises
Organisation was good at the start and end of the cruise, the compulsory life jacket talk was too dictatorial. Freedom dining was a lottery, if everyone has it, and it appeared on this cruise they did, then it becomes just that, a lottery.
Third cruise with P&O, second to the fjords, noticeable is the penny pinching going on.
Wifi pricing is exorbitant. Top tip – take a mifi unit with you and purc…
A Disappointing CruiseP&O Cruises | Azura
Had this been our first cruise it would have been our last. The ship is old and tired. Our biggest disappointment was the food – it was not up to the normal P&O standard. The entertainment was poor. The country (Norway) was beautiful and worth a visit and P&O’s staff were excellent.
Guernsey ZebruggeP&O Cruises | Oriana
The cruise was what we expected and the cabin was superb. The food was a little ordinary and not always very good. Freedom dining worked well and we able to eat when we wanted to. The excursions were good and enabled us to see what we wished. Only problem for us was the miles of walking, at least that was what it felt like, to get on and off the ship at Southampton, particularly when disembarking …

Celebrity Constellation Rome to Barcelona May 2017Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Constellation
We have sailed many times with Celebrity but I have to say this was far from the best experience we have had. The ship is showing its age and looks very tired in parts – indeed it was going straight into dry dock after our cruise and not before time! There was a distinct lack of ‘buzz’ at times, especially in the evenings which we always regarded as a Celebrity strong point in the past. Food and …

Marvellous as ever from Bolsover Cruise Club! This cruise was wonderful! The itinerary was great, the ship is fab, the crew quite lovely! I have done a few cruises now ( with P & O, Princess and Cunard), I would like to highly recommend this ship!
May 5 - May 12 2017Viking Cruises | Viking Kadlin
This was a 1st class cruise in every aspect. We were impressed at every level. The ship was great, the staff were spot on, the tours were well thought out and well run. Bolsover Cruise Club did a great job in finding this for us.
DisappointedP&O Cruises | Oriana
Itinerary changed 2 days before sailing, 2 ports missed (one due to high winds, not much you could do about that), 2 nights in Civitavecchia not a good port for 2 nights, 2 nights in Salerno very commercial and dirty. Due to repairs to ship this after not long been in for refit this made the 19 day cruise into a 14 day cruise. Was it value for money ?
Aurora R703, 29 Apr-10 May 2017P&O Cruises | Aurora
We cruised on Aurora when she was new in 2000 and since then on bigger and more modern ships. The balcony cabin was outdated with heavy wooden wardrobe doors with limited access and there was a smelly plastic curtain in the bath/shower. The public rooms were still very smart and the theatre shows were very enjoyable albeit on a smaller stage than the newer ships. The food in the dining room was go…
DisappointingP&O Cruises | Arcadia
Disastrous cruise. Food was terrible both in the buffet and in the restaurant. The staff appeared disinterested. Hygiene was a little lax. The ship smelled of sewage constantly in the midships area. Larger area for ballroom dancing required. Pool area had a thick brown discharge running across it and there were areas of water being mopped up constantly. Ports were all very samey except Ponta del G…
11 Days of PleasureP&O Cruises | Aurora
Loved the cruise. The stops were good and the weather mostly kind. The 4 sea days were no problem as there was plenty to do on the ship. We used the gym in our efforts to combat the calorie intake that is normal with cruise dining! The food was at all times good but not outstanding. However, the service and presentation of meals in the restaurant was always to 5 star standards. The entertainment o…

Another brilliant cruise with P&O Cruises.
Fabulous CruiseP&O Cruises | Aurora
P&O Cruises are so reliable and always operate in a good, well organised and straight forward manner. The ship was clean and well presented, the entertainment first class, the restaurant food was a bit repetitive but the buffet was excellent.
Loved AuroraP&O Cruises | Aurora
Getting to Southampton by Eavesway and checking in was a breeze! We were off the coach and on the ship,in our cabin within 20 minutes! We really enjoyed this cruise, visiting Portugal and Spain. We had a rocky first day, a bit of rain in Gibraltar but the rest of the time the weather was ok. The food was some of the best we have ever had on a ship, we were in the Alexandria restaurant; our waiters…
Disappointing AuroraP&O Cruises | Aurora
All I can say this cruise on Aurora was fair, from the booking in system which changes every time, then having to go through third degree to say what Peninsular grade you in as P& O still don’t put it on the E tickets. On to disembarkation, why put wheelchair assisted passengers to meet on deck 8, then trying to get a lift when called is impossible as every is full with others trying to get off. T…
Overall 3*Princess Cruises | Crown Princess
Since last going on a Princess Cruises the standard had dropped considerably in all areas including food, entertainment and bar areas. There were definitely signs of cut backs. Very disappointed compared to other cruises we have been on such as P&O Cruises and Cunard.
Western Europe cruisePrincess Cruises | Crown Princess
My wife and I enjoyed the cruise. However we thought the prices of drinks were exorbitant and to make matters worse there was a 15% service charge. Our main bone of contention, which may seem trivial, was that there was no kettle in the stateroom to make a cup of tea. I accept there was free room service but no matter who or how often you told them to put the tea bag in the pot and pour on hot wat…
Crown PrincessPrincess Cruises | Crown Princess
Crown Princess is in need of a refit, the food on board was good and the entertainment was good. Since Carnival have taken over you can see the standard has slipped from what we used to have, it seems to me that Carnival have made drastic cuts to staff, service and many of the small perks you used to have, it has not deterred us as we have paid a future cruise deposit.
Two week Mediterranean cruisePrincess Cruises | Crown Princess
Exceptional staff- always polite, friendly & most helpful. Standard of cuisine, excellent & first class entertainment. A well organised ship with a superb captain at the helm.
Norwegian fjordsP&O Cruises | Britannia
Recently returned from Norwegian Fjords cruise on Brittania. We were so lucky with the weather yet there was still so much snow left to see stunning scenery. Could not fault the ship in anyway. Staff and service were excellent. As always boarding and embarkation were very well organised and stress free.

First and last time on Princess. Check in great unfortunately stateroom had not been cleaned. Previous occupants underwear and clothes still in drawers, dust everywhere. Our second cruise on Britannia, certainly the right choice, we have had 13 days sailing around the Western Med, enjoying good food, excellent guest speakers,( Prof. Brian J. Really appreciated having a balcony, we were u…

The Marina really is a beautiful ship. I love the size as its not to large and impersonal. You cannot fault the service of the staff, they’re always on hand and are very professional, helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The food is amazing and anything you want can be arranged. We were told by our agent to pre book the speciality dining rooms (avail at no extra charge) on line beforehand and…

Our 50th wedding annniversary celebrated in style on Q.E. Everything is so special on this ship. Brittannia Club Restaurant is magnificent. We were really spoilt from entering our cabin with champagne and flowers to the day we disembarked. Would really recommend Cunard for any special occasion!!
Excellent CruiseCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Equinox
This was our third time on this ship and probably sixth time on Celebrity. We really love Aqua Class, mainly because of the restaurant Blu. The food is superb but possibly the best feature there is the staff, their smiles are genuine and they are so anxious to please.
The ship is good with lots of facilities – but if anything lets them down I think it is the standard of the shows. The outside e…
No pazzazHolland America Line | MS Veendam
Not an itinerary I could recommend until we got to New York . I wondered why we were in some of the ports. I could not give lower stars on the questions asked. But they do not get to atmosphere , ambience . Mechanically it was a well oiled performance lacking any pazzaz
It was disconcerting that the majority of people we met had free drinks packages and tips paid , the ones on our dinner table had…
Southampton>Genoa 05/10/16MSC Cruises | MSC Splendida
Generally satisfied with cruise.
One criticism concerns the organisation particularly with regard to final disembarkation. This was amateurish with no noticeable notion of managing people flow in an orderly fashion (eg one-way system, in-door, out-door could all have been employed to improve the passenger experience). The disembarkation schedule was running 55 minutes late, so there was a risk of…
A splendid escape on SPLENDIDAMSC Cruises | MSC Splendida
After 3 memorable experiences on MSC??s ships was not at all a surprise that I decided to comeback. This time I was cheating on my first MSC love ??Preziosa? and choose, for a 9 day trip, her sister ship ??Splendida?

MrsRoyal Caribbean International | Independence of the Seas
I was rather disappointed with this trip. The ship whilst modern, large and clean had totally inadequate facilities for the number of passengers. As someone on a restricted medical diet (gluten free) the choice of food in Windjammer and the coffee shop was very poor. On asking what was available it became apparent that there were gluten free options but these were always in the kitchens and had to…

Having Cruised on several ships in the past we did Cruise on the P&O Azura in 2010 and enjoyed it very much.
Again we have Cruised with several companies and decided to try the Azora again this year.

All the ports of call was lovely with beautiful weather.
The ship was lovely with plenty to do at sea days.
October 16 in the MedP&O Cruises | Arcadia
Fantastic Holiday from the Security desk to the dockside on return. The adapted room was great and the staff were wonderful all around the ship all day. My Husband had a scooter on board and the staff could not have been any more helpful in helping us to get off at all ports except one. Just wish more disabled access buses were available for tours like the one in Barcelona but not P & O’s fault…

Most enjoyable from start with organised easy check in at Heathrow. Superb menus and very good quality food in the Brittania restaurant and in The Lido buffet. Good shows in the theatre and a sense of occasion in the evening with the majori…
FeedbackRoyal Caribbean International | Navigator of the Seas
My wife and I enjoyed the cruise though the ports are not brilliant except perhaps Bilbau. However we are disappointed to note:
1) Smoking is allowed inside Casino in a limited area. Yet it is not uncomfortable to walk through the casino let alone whether we cal play games. Also it is not advisable due to fire risk.
2) During Formal days guests were allowed to wear trousers and short sleeve…

DisappointingP&O Cruises | Britannia
A cruise aboard Britannia for three of us. Ship was beautiful but like a floating Butlins. Our cabin was lovely as was the steward, Floyd, in fact he was the best thing about Britannia. The food was horrible, the best meal was fish and chips a week in. Most of the food seemed to be out of a packet or a tin. What wasn’t eaten on the day was regurgitated in some form, usually a curry, the next …
Azura Canary Island cruise October 2016P&O Cruises | Azura
Tried this cruise as we had never visited the Canary Islands before. I have to say that the only thing the islands have going for them is the weather (which was perfect from start to finish) apart from that there is nothing much to see or do, so we found ourselves aimlessly wandering around the ports before returning to the ship after an hour or so.
The Azura itself is a nice ship with plenty of t…

Very disappointed with suite. Bathroom left a lot to be desired crack in wash basin and bath. Plug not connected, small item but with other two worth a mention. We’ve just returned from a seven night cruise to Northern Spain on N.o.t.Seas made possible for us due to an unbelievably good special offer from Bolsover (Many thanks, Bolsover, keep ’em coming ! ). Just returned from a cruise to the Canaries followed by Western Med, We have been on the Ventura before and will probably go again. What has happened at P & O? .
We were given a check in time of 3PM and got on board about 30 minutes later ( despite being long established cruisers) cases arrived and then we were told to attend safety drill – no time for something to eat/drink.

Disappointed with cruiseP&O Cruises | Ventura
Having been on Ventura & Azura on several occasions we found the quality of a good proportion of the clientele had dropped, is this because of the TV advertising attracting more people ? A further point was the number of wheelchairs, couldn’t move for them, no disrespect but could they not have a ship which catered for wheelchair users. Babies / young children were in the dining room which did not…

Super ship, Super service. However if we had wanted to go to Butlins we would have gone to Minehead!. First time on Royal Caribbean. Would we cruise with them again, YES! This was our 8th cruise and was really pretty good.
Nice ship, smooth, lovely balcony room, no noise. Fantastic value for money. Though smaller than some RCI ships, at 2400 passengers, this was about right for us. Very efficient embarkation and dis-embarkation in Rome, with no problems. Fantastic mix of passengers on board & …
Britannia - Canary and Madeira Cruise 27/9/16P&O Cruises | Britannia
We booked this cruise quite late, we had heard good and bad about this ship. We were pleasantly surprised. Our cabin was on G deck at the back, unfortunately above the live lounge. The draw back from that was when the disco was on late at night the bass in the music was loud, on one occasion the bed seemed to be jumping. I have left a comment on the ships review at the end of the holiday- saying t…
Azura 18th September 2016P&O Cruises | Azura
A very friendly ship, excellent staff and a wonderful captain, but certainly dated, cleanliness a big issue, food not up to normal P&O standard, I was ill and I’m a vegetarian…..!!!!. Lots of the little touches missing, but could that be because we went on Britannia last year…..? Having been on the Ventura, we presumed its sister ship would be as good, so disappointed.
Mediterranean Cruise on Queen ElizabethCunard Line | Queen Elizabeth
I have recently taken a cruise on Cunard after many as a platinum passenger. I was so disappointed! It has been pared down to a point where after many years I do not want to take another cruise with them. The cabin steward was good as generally most of the staff but not as many and it showed in the Lido where dirty crockery was left on the tables. They have done away with the trays so people were …
5 StarCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Silhouette
Just returned from Med cruise including Israel . The ship was excellent and had a concierge balcony cabin on deck 10. We had been to all ports apart from 2 in Israel. We took a private tour for the 3 days and although long we excellent. We bought a 4 meal deal on the specialist restaurants and they were fantastic. Qsine was our favourite but just a tip do not pick too many choices from menu as by …
Wonderful cruiseRegent Seven Seas Cruises | Seven Seas Voyager
First cruise with this company and we had a wonderful time. The crew were very attentive and friendly, the food and drink first class and the on shore excursions well organised with great guides. We are now looking at other destinations!
Poor first dayP&O Cruises | Azura
The cruise got off to a bad start when no arrangements had been made for guests who had just arrived to find anything to eat. When we all asked we were told lunch had ended and tea would start later. The only food we found was a truly awful hot dog. I am surprised that P & O didn’t realise how many guests were arriving and that they might want to eat.
Would not travel on Azura again as the food a…
Super Ship -- Super Crew -- Character CaptainP&O Cruises | Aurora
Our first time on this mid – sized ship, and we enjoyed it the most having sailed on all the other P&O ships.
All the others have been very good, but Aurora was classic and appealed to us, a really nice cabin ideally situated for our requirements.
Our Cabin Steward, a female ( only the second one in numerous cruises ) was excellent, apart from being very efficient there was always a Big Smile and…
P&O get it right them get it wrongP&O Cruises | Arcadia
P&O got it absolutely spot on when we arrived in New York. Immigration and disembarkation was smooth and well organised. We were well informed by staff and it was a pleasant experience. However disembarkation in Quebec was an absolute shambles. Only one gangplank was available for use although port staff had attempted to position another. The angle achieved was dangerous and even professional moun…
Excellent CruiseCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Reflection
Just returned from 12 day cruise from Rome around the Greek islands and Turkey on Celebrity Reflection. This really was a super trip – the ship was relatively new and modern with really nice cabins ( we chose a balcony stateroom on Deck 7) and the service throughout was excellent. The meals in both the main dining room and the buffet dining room were of the highest standard with a good choice. All…
Good timeP&O Cruises | Arcadia
We thoroughly enjoyed NY (our favourite), Boston and Quebec. The little inbetween ports: Newport, Portland, Saint John, Halifax, Sydney were interesting but not rivetting. The Atlantic crossing, there and back, was challenging but fun.
Arcadia and it’s crew and staff were as good as ever – we have no complaints whatsoever. The evening entertainment was OK only.
One passenger complained to us abo…
Anytime DiningPrincess Cruises | Caribbean Princess
My wife and I have recently returned from a cruise on the Caribbean Princess from New York to Quebec and, when booking, asked for Anytime Dining. I appreciate that between about 6.00 pm and 7.30 pm is a busy time for restaurants but ,on this cruise, the Anytime Dining option simply did not work. On the first occasion when we went to the restaurant at about 6.30 pm there were two long queues at the…
Best all round Cruisw everPrincess Cruises | Diamond Princess
If you want a fun cruise take Princess around Japan, the Diamond Princess must have been 60% Japanese passengers, polite joined in every thing and good fun.
Activities in every corner Cruise Director and his Japanese side kick were great and never in your face like most Cruise Directors.
Best ship we have ever been on
We did our own travel to Tokyo that keeps the class of travel up and the price d…
Our recent cruisePrincess Cruises | Pacific Princess
Despite being very good in personnel based service, the enjoyment of our cruise was somewhat marred by an obvious desire by the company to make the most of onboard sales. Excursions were too expensive for us to use, wine quality was poor compared to other cruise lines and the cost far higher than expected- even water was $5 per bottle. Taking bottles on board was strictly forbidden. We have travel…
Fantastic cruise ship, butRegent Seven Seas Cruises | Seven Seas Explorer
This was our first cruise with Regent and we were impressed with the ship, the staff, the cabin and the food. It was clearly the best cruise line we have been on but at ?1,000 per day for a Concierge Suite it should be. The pre cruise overnight stop in Venice was not particularly well organised, partly due to us not being kept informed by the Italian staff and the hotel room was clearly the chea…
The most luxurious cruise ship. Ever builtRegent Seven Seas Cruises | Seven Seas Explorer
This ship lives up to its reputation. It entered service earlier this year . The only fault we could find was in the signage for it’s main restaurant Compass Rose which was described as being in the aft part of the ship but omitted to say that access could only be gained from the forward lifts and stairways.
We really could not find any other fault with this ship. The service was flawless in every…
Emerald Princess - Our First Ever Cruise......Princess Cruises | Emerald Princess
The September cruise to the Canaries from Southampton was our first ever cruise and in addition, this was the first time we had ever gone away with friends. Although we thoroughly researched and considered this significant change of holiday style, naturally we just did not know exactly what we were about to experience.
In a nut shell….. It was an absolutely fantastic experience on all counts. Alt…
my holidayRoyal Caribbean International | Navigator of the Seas
We found the ship was very nice but the entertainment was not as good as we expected also my grandaughter found a live grub in her lettuce which put us of eating salads which we love,so I dont think we will be going on the Navigator of the seas again. We enjoyed the places we visited but found it a bit expensive paying for the Shuttle Buses
Oriana 7night bay of bid cay cruiseP&O Cruises | Oriana
Cruise experience was ok but once again serious outbreak of nurovirus for nearly half the cruise, which took away some of the enjoyment, in saying this it was dealt with in a very professional manner ( suppose by now they really know how to handle this). We did notice how the dress code has dropped dramatically. Felt overdressed in smart casual. My wife being vegetarian had same problem as always,…
Azura18 /09 /16P&O Cruises | Azura
Lovely cruise perfect weather but Azura is not good if you like dancing the floor is too small in the atrium ,in spite of that we had two very good dance instructors who went out of their way to make the evenings really enjoyable and put on excellent demonstrations . We didn’t need two days in Barcelona and could have had longer in Gibraltar.Overall a very good smooth trip
1st time cruise...Royal Caribbean International | Navigator of the Seas
Overall the 1st cruise for us was fantastic.. Good points were ….. The ship was immaculate…. The service was impeccable…. The food was excellent. Cabin superb. The staff on board were brilliant.
The holiday got off to a difficult start with toilet not working 4 days out of the 1st 6 days at sea….we wanted to move rooms but they said it was not possible. They offered us a bottle of wine as compensa…
Fantastic norway cruise on BalmoralFred. Olsen Cruise Lines | Balmoral
the parking and check in at Newcastle port was very efficient. We were directed to the carpark at the port, the porters took our luggage and we then walked the short distance to the terminal building. The check in was very well organised. priority check in was offered for decks 8,9 and 10 with self-service check in offered for all other passengers. We had booked a premier suite. The cabin was v…
Sep-16Royal Caribbean International | Navigator of the Seas
Not enough staff , especially on the decks during the day. Some members of staff not very helpful , when cabin not cleaned one day a complaint was a waste of time, the room was left until the steward attended that evening. Exorbitant prices for drink on board ship, never been into a restuerant on an evening with the majority of people drinking wine. Alcohol purchased at port visits taken from you …
Oceana 14 nights MediterraneanP&O Cruises | Oceana
The ship looked great as we arrived in Genoa in the sunshine. The ship was clean and tidy on deck and the staff were busy getting it ready for the new passengers. There was a barbecue on deck and music it was a great atmosphere. The deckchairs were waiting for us!!
The embarkation process was very straightforward and we got on the ship with no queues or fuss. We got on the ship at 11am. we took a …
First Mediterranean CruiseRoyal Caribbean International | Navigator of the Seas
We ( two 69 year olds ) did a 13 night cruise from Southampton in Sept 2016
The ship is very big with lots to explore. We had a balcony stateroom 8602 on deck 8. The stateroom was very spacious, lots of storage and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony.
The dining was excellent both in the dining room and self service restaurant.
The staff were excellent, especially Maureen our state room attendant, a…
Smaller shipsCunard Line | Queen Victoria
We sailed on Queen Victoria for the first time after 25 years cruising. We ienjoyed everyday. The itinerary was excellent and we were informed daily by Commador Ryder of any changes or developments. ALL the staff were efficient and courteous and ALL contributed to the success of the cruise We enjoyed the smaller ship as it was easier to get around and more compact but was as well equip…
First Azamara cruiseAzamara Club Cruises | Azamara Journey
This was our first cruise with Azamara, usually we go with Celebrity. The staff were excellent and couldn’t have been more helpful. We liked the smaller feel of the ship which meant less ques at the restaurants and getting on and off the ship. The azamazing eventing was very enjoyable and beautifully organised and executed. The almost all inclusive aspect of the cruise was excellent.
Canaries with CunardCunard Line | Queen Elizabeth
Previous cruises have always been taken with P & O who in the past have been excellent but regrettably, due to cutbacks, are sliding backwards, thus a change to Cunard, who whilst claiming to be a premier brand do not, unfortunately live up to their past reputation . The ship itself is very spacious & comfortable with plenty of seating areas, inside & outside. It is clean and very Art Decor with pl…
friendly VenturaP&O Cruises | Ventura
Lovely cruise, everyone was friendly and efficient and helpful. Reception rang to wish me happy birthday, the cabin steward was excellent and the waiters and waitresses were lovely. Best cruise we have had for a while. And disembarkation was very efficient, no waiting we came straight off.
EntertainmentP&O Cruises | Ventura
Cruised with P&O now for the last 10 years visiting the Mediterranean & Caribbean onboard Azura, Ventura & Oceana why is it in all this time we are still seeing the same shows by the Headlners Theatre Company. Only went to 1 show on the last cruise.
Superb comfortCunard Line | Queen Elizabeth
Having just returned from a 15 day cruise to the Canaries, and our first cruise with Cunard, it get all 5 stars from us, everything about the cruise was wonderful, the food, service, staff, entertainment, general feel was relaxed and comfortable.
The daily reports from the Bridge mainly from the Captain kept us well informed.
The only negative thing was the Cunard fare says including “shuttle bus”…
Our first fly cruiseP&O Cruises | Oceana
This was our first fly cruise, and it certainly won’t be our last. We were very impressed with the efficiency of getting us and our cases to and from the boat. A logistical nightmare, well executed. We have not cruised on the Oceana before, but the ship was of the high standard expected from P and O. Cabin, cleanliness, food, service, trips, delightful staff…everything was excellent. The only crit…
Cruise recommendedCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Constellation
An excellent 1st time Cruise on the Celebrity Constellation. All staff gave an excellent service. Would certainly recommend this. Cruise ship.
Britannia ItineraryP&O Cruises | Britannia
Just got back from a short trip on Britannia.
Couldn’t really fault the ship, the staff or the food.
Guernsey was meant to be the last port of call before returning home, but once again we couldn’t go ashore (by tender) because the sea was too rough. I understand all about safety considerations and I know the captain made the right decision BUT apparently this is a fairly regular occurrence – a co…
Thank youPrincess Cruises | Emerald Princess
I would like to thank Bolsover for the lovely gift of a bottle of champagne. It gave us the perfect start to our holiday. My first impression of Emerald Princess was that it lacked the elegance of Queen Victoria or Queen Elizabeth. This feeling was confirmed throughout the holiday, for example plastic plates in The Horizon Court. My husband also missed having a sommelier in the main restaurant…
Our cruiseP&O Cruises | Oceana
Bolsover club were excellent at sorting things and any queries. First cruise. Looked at all cabins. Definitely would go for a mini suite in the future, for ultimate comfort and luxury. Having said that, it,s expensive , so would look out for offers on mini suites.
Many thanks to p and o crew and Bolsover Cruise club
Italy and CroatiaCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Constellation
My husband and I flew to Venice in June this year and had a wonderful cruise. The itinerary was great, sailing out of Venice was my dream sailaway – it’s certainly a wonderful way to see Venice from high up on the ship. We visited Slovenia, Zadar, Split, Dubrovnik, Kotor, Naples, Sicily, Ravenna, then back to Venice for two nights, leaving us plenty of time to explore this beautiful city on foot…
Mini , Mini CruiseP&O Cruises | Britannia
My family and l have just returned from a mini cruise on the Britannia to Bruges . The embarkation was smooth apart from a very bossy member of P and O staff that would have made a good sergeant major in the army. . Our cabin was spacious , plenty big enough for two and it was great to have a balcony . The decor was muted , with tea and coffee making facilities ( very important to me ) comfortab…
.........and another one bites the dust!P&O Cruises | Oriana
10th – 24th September 2016
Although Oriana has a ‘lovely feel’ to her she is now badly in need of her refit that according to P&O is happening in November 2016. Whilst on the subject of the refit my wife informs me the shops on board were very poor with very limited stock and hopefully that will be addressed in November. That for the ladies was a big problem but for us blokes it was…
Queen Mary 1945MSC Cruises | MSC Preziosa
As I was writing my first cruise was on THE Queen Mary as a 3 year old with my mother who was a War Bride. When we settled in Canada it was on Wolfe Island Nr. Kingston, Ontario.
My next encounter with ships was when my father and mother worked on the Kingston Ferry. This was originally one of the Woolwich Ferries. Dad was crew and Mum was cook. I was entertainment. Dad named me Deanna and thought…
Beautiful IcelandP&O Cruises | Azura
We boarded the Azura in June this year for a cruise to Belfast, the Scottish Islands and Iceland.. We booked late so cabin was allocated a few weeks before and our dinner sitting was allocated once on board. We were allocated second sitting which was a bit late and we would have preferred freedom dining but as we booked late we didn’t get to choose. We did ask if we could swop to first sitting and…
Amazing 8 DaysP&O Cruises | Britannia
The whole holiday experience from the arrival until we left was amazing.
Been previously with P&O on Venture, Oceana and Oriana.
Also this year been on the Carnival Vista.
Britannia was spot on.
Britannia & tender ports don't mixP&O Cruises | Britannia
Just returned from an 8 cruise on Britannia to La Rochelle, Lisbon, Vigo & Guernsey. Overall a lovely cruise, weather conditions excellent through the Bay of Biscay, but at Guernsey, being a tender port, the wavy sea prevented disembarkation.
This is the 2nd time that we have been unable to visit a tender port whilst on Britannia (first Monte Carlo in 2015), so I would be wary of booking Britannia…
