Athens to Dubai through the Suez CanalAzamara Club Cruises | Azamara Journey

Our 4th cruise with Azamara and in terms of itinerary one of the most interesting. Ports included Safaga (for Luxor, where we did an overnight tour) and Aqaba from where we could visit Petra and the Wadi Rum desert. Oman was a real surprise – it manages to combine traditional with modern really well. Fascinating.
The Azamara Journey was well maintained, spotlessly clean. The overall entertainment …

Best yetAzamara Club Cruises | Azamara Journey

This was the best cruise I have done, 17 nights from Athens to Dubai via the Suez Canal (have done 12 to date). Azamara have done a good job with the refit, and kept very clean throughout. There was a good mixture of nationalities, the largest number were American, very closely followed by British, Canadians, Australians, Kiwis, French, Russian and a few others. There were 69 solo passengers. To m…

Ok, but little crafting, no bridge and duplicated entertainment if you do two back to back 7 day cruisesPrincess Cruises | Ruby Princess

Went on two back to back 7 day cruises from LA going to different places. Entertainment was good, but a lot of unnecessary duplication between cruises, even though we paid full price for both of them and there were several of us ‘transit’ passengers on board. Very disappointing. Bed was also uncomfy so both of us had a bad back for the second week.

No bridge on board, and very limited crafting, wh…

Lovely ship. Very helpful and pleasant crew. Entertainment, however, left a lot to be desired. Also, at several ports, the ship was moored a long way from where the coaches etc were parked, and we did not manage to get into the town at all.

Good but not that goodP&O Cruises | Ventura

Having cruised for over 20 years, mainly with Princess Cruises, we went on Azura last year to Caribbean and thoroughly enjoyed our time on that ship, so decided to book with P & O again, to the Canaries, on Ventura. What a difference! The ship is tired, and the furniture in the cabin certainly needed replacing. There were six of us in our party and all of us, at different times, had problems with …

We had a very nice cruise aboard Ventura, the weather could have been a little better, but that is a chance we all take, and have to make the best of it. Overall a good cruiseP&O Cruises | Britannia

This was our first time on this ship and the overall impression was good but we feel that the quality and service in the main restaurants was not as good as other cruises with the same company. Quality of service and food in the specialist restaurant was first class. Entertainment was good, dance instructors were brilliant. Minor irritation was the hogging of the sun beds.

STANDARDS ARE SLIPPINGPrincess Cruises | Coral Princess

Have cruised many times with Princess. The ship is in desparate need of T.L.C. The food was VERY variable and suffered from an indulgent chef who “buries ” everything in complicated dressings to a point where the flavour of the main ingredient is lost. Service was very hit and miss – sometimes very good, often down right awful- staff did not care – no active menagement. Disembarkation was dreadful…

We enjoyed the cruise down the Spanish coast into the Med.

We noticed quite a few changes from our last cruise on P&O 5 years ago. It was more a down market holiday, 9 evenings were very casual with dress ware basic.

I have been on Aurora 3 times now plus other P&O ships, but I must say I found the standard of food selection quite poor to what it used to be. DisappointedP&O Cruises | Oceana

The Cabin was very small, with no regard for personal comforts. The toilet and shower would have been very difficult for the number of people on board who were over weight. Having travelled on Oceana about five years ago, in a similar cabin grade, I wonder if cabin sizes have been reduced to generate more income for the American owners. I will not be travelling on P&O again!

I love Britannia it is a beautiful ship, the decor is even better than I was expecting. The food was great and cooked beautifully, there is plenty of choice, special diets are well catered for, and this rates high on my list as I have a complicated diet. We’ve just had such a good time on a 12 day trip to the Atlantic Isles on lovely Adonia. It’s cosy, friendly and just makes you feel so relaxed. Staff were great. Weather mixed and a lot of the ports were closed due to public holidays but we still had a great time. Walking round the jogging track as the sun rises or as you come into port is wonderful. We had looked forward to going on Ventura after hearing many good reports, however we were very disappointed on two levels, the standard of food had certainly gone down (or perhaps this ships kitchen was poor) since our last cruise on Azura in February this year. Cruise didn't tick every box but a good holidayViking Cruises | Viking Ingvar

It was a fine holiday and maybe, having had other river cruises, we expected a bit too much. This was, after all, Northern Russia. A great itinerary on a wonderful small ship. The staff on the Pacific Princess were, without exception, friendly, helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Little touches such as “towel animals” on beds – messages on pillow chocolate (if they get any smaller they will disappear) interesting napkin shapes – downgrading of toiletries which are not replenished once used up. The ports of call were excellent. The tours in Olden and the 8 hour coach tour to Gerainger were the best tours we have ever experienced (not inexpensive but we didnt feel we’d been greatly overcharged). The downside to the cruise was the number of staff. The main dining room staff were good but were so stretched. Waiting staff has been cut to the minimum. In the Horizon and Caribe buffet areas th…

Can someone be kind enough to explain to me why P&O Cruises ( and I assume the rest of the Carnival family ) do not refund part of the fare when they do not dock at a port as advertised.
Surely there is a contract between them and the punters, we have kept our side by paying. They have failed to fulfil their side of the contract, therefore obtaining money from us under false pretences and incorrec…

We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise.

We have been on a couple of other ships,  Allure of the Seas being one I think, with Central Park. I would love to go back on that ship but it just wasn’t available in the week that we needed to go. It obviously is a bigger ship that does provide more areas, such as the aerial water shows, and I love the Central Park area with the conservatory type area on the top…

Unfortunately my opinion of “Azura” went down a notch after I did a trip on “Britannia”. It is a superb relaxing space where we sat with lunch time drinks enjoying the sunshine. The outside and inside spaces on the ship are beautifully thought out and constructed. All of the staff from toilet attendants to office0rs were pleasant, …

Cabin Unfit For PurposeP&O Cruises

We were sold a cabin that P&O Would never put in their brochure as it was not fit for purpose, there was no way of getting around the bed on either side, we had to sit on the end and get into bed by shiving up the bed. The drawers on the side could only be opened 6″ as they were pushed up against the bed. Totally unacceptable and it was admitted by the receptionist that they have a problem with so…

Cunard Baltic June 2017Cunard Line | Queen Elizabeth

Somewhat disappointed with Cunard
3rd time onboard this ship and not upto usual standards particularly the entertainment
P&O are rapidly catching up and it’s difficult to discern the difference in standards that was in the past always possible
In fact last cruise on P&O was better all round
I always consider myself a Cunarder but after this last cruise I may well think again

Rocky Mountaineer and Alaska cruise.Princess Cruises | Star Princess

Really enjoyed our Alaskan cruise on the Star Princess, good food and facilities, excellent service throughout the ship. Well organised embarkation and disembarkation at the start and end of the cruise and for the various excursions. Would recommend a trip to Alaska, (not necessarily with Princess, read on please) beautiful scenery from minute one. On board entertainment was superb. Rocky Mountain…

Home from HomePrincess Cruises | Crown Princess

Our second trip on the Crown Princess but the first time we have sailed when the ship has actually been full. We were on a Baltic cruise so pretty hectic with just a few sea days. The entertainment on board was the best we’ve ever experienced on a cruise ship and we’ve been on plenty……because it was so good it was a problem getting a seat in the theatre so it was necessary to get there about 30 mi…

Music cruise on the Oriana June 20117Uncategorised

A very enjoyable cruise with excellent service by a superb crew. This was a music cruise which was a real bonus and a welcome relief from the over amplified and somewhat repetive Headliners Company.

The shops were disappointing with little choice for the ladies apart from the handbags!

We really like the decor of the public rooms.Beautifully done in art deco style.

A very good experience on the Oriana. The Music festival far exceeded my expectations. every type of music was included I doubt anyone on this cruise would have found it difficult to enjoy each day.. Ports of call were also varied and well organised again all interests were in my opinion catered for. Well done Captain Box and all officers and staff

Ship ill preparedP&O Cruises | Adonia

Having just returned from the first cruise on Adonia since she came back to P&O, all I can say is that the cruise was a bit of a shambles. The ship wasn’t ready and properly stocked for the cruise.
There was no house wine at all, and by the fourth day of the cruise, bar staff were going from bar to bar trying to find the wine you had requested. In the end we were limited to one red wine. I heard t…

Food. Excellent, entertainment excellent, ports highlight was P&O’s first ever call into Sibinek.

Pompous and morose!Cunard Line | Queen Victoria

We have now done several cruises on several different lines but without doubt this was the worst one! Whilst the ship is immaculately presented and the service is good it lacks any soul whatsoever. Catering to the 1920’s oldies who are on their millionth cruise with Cunard and want all the pomp and glory of bygone days, together with morose music and third rate entertainment, for us this was an aw…

Eastern Mediterranean June '17 Celebrity ReflectionCelebrity Cruises | Celebrity Reflection

A relatively new ship, a well trained crew, a slick operation. There are a few minor drawbacks and reviews often do focus on the negative. So the negatives first: our balcony was not a cleaned properly, some of the super plush seating in the bar areas was not actually ergonomically practical for comfort, compared with say princess lines the cabins were smaller. On the positive side the service cre…

Good cruise shame about the weather!☔️Princess Cruises | Royal Princess

Good start when booked with Kelly Layton at Bolsover.
The ship looked really good as we arrived to park our car in Southampton, we boarded quickly no waiting around and a first class welcome.
Our cabin was ready and waiting ( it was 12 45 when we boarded) and our cases were not far behind us what excellent service.
On walking round the ship we decided that we preferred the Royal Princess, the Cari…

Well I was invited to write this review so I suppose they will have to take the rough with the smooth …. so here we go … Our first cruise was in 2011 to the Med on Oceana … We picked that cruise because it had port stops that really interested us and we liked the look of Oceana as a classy traditional cruise ship. The cruise just happened to be a ” Strictly Come Dancing Cruise ” … which didn’t int…

Excellent Baltic Cruise the highlight of which was the two days in St Petersburg. The Crown Princess was in good condition and the staff as helpful as always. Could Do BetterP&O Cruises

Certain standards seem to have slipped on this ship – could not fault the staff in the Oriental Restaurant they were excellent, but on many occasions we were unable to find seats for various acts after we had our second sitting dinner, which meant we missed out on some good entertainment. Do not remember this happening on previous cruises.

Also, my partner’s preferred choice of cider was only avai…

New Ports On The MedP&O Cruises | Arcadia

Our cruise was on Arcadia on a 17 day trip. We visited small ports that were new to us : La Spezia; Olbia; El Ferrol. The activity ratings for excursions were way off. One we went on was described as low activity. It involved lots of steps and steep inclines which many people could not manage and complained to the shore excursion person who merely said it was the lowest of all the excursions. She …
