A lovely ship, the staff were friendly, helpful and attentive. Destinations we loved most of them particularly the Isle of Capri when docked at Naples.

Vigo at 5pm on a Sunday?P&O Cruises | Ventura

I have read some of the other reviews on the May 11th cruise. Having written to P&O I was waiting for a reply before I added our review but no reply as yet. The idea of going to Vigo at 5pm on a cold, miserable Sunday was ridiculous! If that was the best alternative they could come up with maybe they should get some new staff who might come up with some more, imaginative contingency plans. It was …

Just spent a week on the Oceana 24th may 2018. Having cruised more than a dozen times with princess, celebrity, Thomson and P&O I must say that P&O need to tighten the reins a bit. We had a fantastic cruise from start to finish. Our 11yr old son loved The Reef (kids club) the staff were great with him.
Our balcony cabin was lovely and we had a very nice steward looking after us. And the food was very nice too and the staff in the Meridian restaurant were excellent with our son who is a fussy eater. We will definitely cruise with P&O again and go from Southampton.

We had a wonderful cruise, with sunshine all the way and flat seas. We found a minor patch of dampness on our cabin carpet, and reported it to Customer Services. We booked this 2-night cruise to introduce our friends to cruising and P&O described this as a taster cruise however it’s nothing more than an 18-30 booze cruise.

Cruise B811 29th April 2018 Mediterranean DISEMBARKATION FIASCOP&O Cruises | Britannia

The reason for an overall review of three stars is due to the shambolic, chaotic, disorganised disembarkation and exiting car park. This was our first time on Britannia, we have cruised on all the other current P & O ships and had no problems on disembarkation. A lovely cruise with an interesting itinerary. Sadly, we still miss Cafe Bordeaux, which we found the heart of the ship. Very disappointed with the Glass House. Overcooked food, dark and dreary, with no atmosphere. Only four tables in use…

We got a good deal on this 7 day Northern Europe cruise so decided to try MSC, having previously sailed with P&O. Ship was overcrowded. Frequently unable to find a table in the buffet and Staff did nothing when asked to help – even when some sections were closed off. Aurora has always been our favourite P and O ship for a variety of reasons-food, staff, entertainment, cabin comfort. This was our second time searching for the Northern Lights, previously we went in 2014, and we were not disappointed. We saw the Lights 4 nights in succession and they were a wonderful spectacle. The atmosphere on the ship was one of expectation and without exception, all passengers were excited to see the displays. Dissatisfied customersP&O Cruises | Britannia

We have decided not to use P&O Cruises again because of a number of reasons. Failure to police their own rules smoking on balconies for one bed around the pools with towels and other things placed on them early yet nobody occupied them for hours. We could mention a number of other things that weren’t right, however, what’s the point.

Fantastic value Black Friday Bolsover deal Canaries 11/2/18P&O Cruises | Oriana

This was the only P & O ship we had not been on and it was something of a hidden gem for us. This ship has attractive décor throughout. Although only small, around 1900 passengers, 69000 tonnes (the ship that is not the passengers) it has everything a traditional cruise ship should have. Small Ballroom, spacious public areas, a wide Promenade deck, a sweeping gallaried stern, decent sized lifts, …

Caribbean - Feb 2018Royal Caribbean International | Grandeur of the Seas

This was our third Royal Caribbean cruise and the standard across all three ships was similar.
We like this size of ship, around 2000 passengers, as it is not too large to get lost and you can meet up with newly made friends easily. Also you can become acquainted with crew and engage in conversation as the numbers are relatively low.
The food was available in a number of places including – The Win…

Everything about the cruise was perfect, from exceptional service to superb food. The daytime activities on board were many and varied, and the cruise staff were charming and helpful.
However, the evening entertainment was awful. I am sick of hearing “Fran Sinatra soundalikes”, classical guitar, opera, piano (more like a lesson than entertainment) and other lacklustre performances. By far the best…

Been cruising 15 times with P&O and never had any issues. The ships vary, the bigger ones in the main have the more facilities. I have cruised before but my niece hadn’t and so I really wanted this ship to live up to stories I’d told her about the Azura. For me the Brittania hasn’t got the Wow factor. First long cruise.P&O Cruises | Ventura

What a lovely way to spend January. The only slight disappointment was that the weather was not quite as good as we had hoped and we missed seeing an old friend in Grenada. The strong winds made it too dangerous to dock.

Ventura is a great ship and considering she is going in for a refit in March everything was very clean and working well.

Met some super people and have booked again for next year.…

Caribbean CruiseP&O Cruises | Azura

Excellent holiday, Azura was fantastic, only thing that stops us from giving overall 5 star is a couple of niggles that some people will find petty, but hey ho we are all entitled to our opinion. We found that the trips were very expensive, we did get quite a lot of negative feedback from fellow guests that went on some of the cruises, but to be fair many people seemed to enjoy them. We also found…

Not as good as it once wasP&O Cruises | Azura

Whilst service remains good the corners cut by P&O are apparent; the food is average to poor, no amount of dressing up or talking up (in the menu) can impress. Also, the buffet areas have been modified from large port and starboard areas to four very cramped areas – breakfast has become far too crowded and bad-tempered, and there isn’t the choice of food there used to be – where’s all the fruit go…

Caribbean CrisisPrincess Cruises | Caribbean Princess

My wife and I have just returned from our twelfth cruise with Princess Cruises and we can honestly say it was our worst cruise to date. Followed very closely by the last time we were on the Caribbean Princess, which was in December 2017. Apart from the obvious, it was particularly disappointing because during the cruise we became members of the prestigious Elite Captain Circle having now completed…

Not as good as previouslyPrincess Cruises | Caribbean Princess

Having made more rooms the facilities for everyone were seriously wrong – unable to go to the theatre unless you sat there for 2 hours prior to the show to get a seat. They filmed it through to another lounge but that is not live theatre – disaster! Painting outside our end room was worse than bad – peeling paint and had been touched up over dirt or not cleaned down properly. Had to look at it eve…

Cruise A801P&O Cruises | Azura

Whilst our dealings with Bolsover Cruise club was excellent the cruise proved to be the opposite. Flights, both out and return again were good and the embarkation on the ship was very good. Things went downhill from there, food at both the restaurant and buffet was not up to P and O standards.

The cabin toilet was blocked and it took 4 phone calls before the problem was finally solved.

The dress c…

Westerdam reviewHolland America Line | MS Westerdam

This was our first cruise, so nothing to compare it too. Sailed from Ft. Lauderdale to San Diego, through Panama Canal.
Pros: good service, good food, friendly staff, clean ship, nice weather.
Cons: too many days at sea, poor ports of call, prices of drinks outrageous, tours a bit poor and expensive, $13.50 per day per person service charge!!! All entertainment and daytime activities geared to old…

Almost excellentAzamara Club Cruises | Azamara Journey

We have just returned from our first cruise on the Azamara Journey. The staff are so friendly and efficient. The food is top-quality fine dining. The service in the restaurant, bars, and the stateroom is excellent. Everywhere is immaculately clean. Apart from one or two areas needing a coat of fresh paint, my real negative is the lack of discipline regarding dress in the restaurant. I know that so…

Hit and missP&O Cruises | Ventura

Took a months cruise 4th January. I am not a hard person to please and overall enjoyed the cruise, especially for what I paid. No complaints with the staff or the entertainment on board which I thought was very good, but the food standard has dropped somewhat and we found ourselves eating in the buffet after a couple of weeks. The smaller ships suit us better. Also having the dancing in the atrium …

Cruise Feb. 2018Viking Cruises | Viking Star

We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of life on board. The choice and quality of food and wines was excellent. We love the calm, cultured ambience, unspoilt by loud music, constant flyers and nuisance photographers.

The staterooms are comfortable and clean and a proper bathroom is much appreciated.

Our only complaint refers to the flight arrangements. Our party of six varied in age from 65 to 85. We …

Poor quality cruiseP&O Cruises | Azura

It is clear P&O are going downhill, I have been on them for last 10years and they far clearly going downhill.
The food now is very basic, examples, no tomatoes that were not soggy, little decent cheese, no poached Salmon, no fresh fruit hardly at breakfast, they ran out of wine Chablis on the first night😩😩😩😩

Entertainment poor, singers shocking, the staff were 95% good but some very abrupt.

Mum's first cruiseFred. Olsen Cruise Lines | Balmoral

As the title suggests, this was mum’s first cruise at the age of 78. It was the 3 night River Seine Sojourn and gave her a good idea of what cruising entails. Despite a bumpier than expected crossing mum started to relax after dinner in the restaurant and was enthralled by the evening show – Bon voyage. The singers and dancers were full of energy and very talented, both shows were excellent. The c…

Boarding the ship seemed very long, as we had to wait for a wheelchair, there was only one sitting space on the quay for 6 people…..

However once on board, we found the ship excellent the are staff very well trained and welcoming. Cabin reasonably spacious and all food excellent except the canapes arriving at 2pm, seemed too early and rather odd looking wet type of bits, no cutlery, improved a bit…

Lovely islands, boat experience 60% goodP&O Cruises | Britannia

I was overawed by the size of the Britannia, but didn’t find it too hard to get around. We ate in the Horizon and the Peninsular – good food in both, and good service.

I was interested in the idea of doing a tour of the ship, as ‘plugged’ on the in-house TV, but P&O let themselves down in a big way when it emerged that they wanted £75 per customer for this promotional tour. Greedy – and cheeky.

Indian oceanFred. Olsen Cruise Lines | Boudicca

Boudicca although small and compact, it was a very good traditional cruise, all staff were very attentive and willing to make sure we had a very good cruise. The cabin was much better than expected, plenty of wardrobe space and the bathroom facilities were much larger than the very modern ships in our opinion have become more like floating Butlins. Overall a very enjoyable cruise with a good itine…

Not as good as we had hopedP&O Cruises | Britannia

We hoped this ship was a bit more up market than it actually is. Its decor is boring. Entertainment is well below par. Why is there a Costa Coffee cafe and bar in the main atrium, how bad is that. On disembark day the ship looks like Terminal 5 at Heathrow when there is a strike. Staff brill. Entertainment crew are good. Food was good. Will go for a different cruise line next time

Good points about this cruise
1. Premium Economy flights comfortable and worth the extra cost
2. Embarkation and leaving very well organised.
3. Speciality restaurants are good
4. Service ok and most staff courteous and helpful
5. Some entertainment ok.
Bad points and the reason we would not travel on Britannia again
1. The ship is completely overcrowded….there is multiple occupation in cabins for…

Britannia in the CaribbeanP&O Cruises | Britannia

First time on this cruise ship. Only been on the Ventura and Azura beforehand. Comparing the ships (Ventura and Azura are sister ships so very similar), although the Britannia was a beautiful ship we were very disappointed when we got to our room and looked out onto the balcony. This was extremely small. There were two reclining chairbeds and one small table, which were completely adequate for a b…

An experience of a lifetimePrincess Cruises | Emerald Princess

Really great itinerary. Great flights with BA. Ship and food and service were excellent. This was our sixth cruise and best yet, highlights were:
Seeing the Magellanic penguins and sea lions in the Valdes peninsular in Patagonia
Falkland Islands 4WD trip to Bluff cove to see Gentoo and King penguins and time in Stanley, exploring.
Cruising round Cape Horn. Uahuaia and getting our end of the world …

Arabian Nights - and Days!Celebrity Cruises | Celebrity Eclipse

This was only our second voyage with Celebrity and chose it on destination as although we had visited India before we hadn’t been to the UAE. Firstly, I will not go into the farcical situation which arose over the Indian visas almost causing an on-board mutiny as I don’t want it to adversely colour my review. We flew Emirates from Birmingham to Dubai on the 380 airbus and it was fantastic. I can e…

Good - but not Silversea standardSilversea | Silver Spirit

The ship – due for a refit – was ‘tired’ the usually impeccable Silversea service, while still very good, was patchy. The captain and senior staff more or less invisible (cruise director an exception – he WAS visible) we had many excellent meals – and one or two disappointing ones.

So overall disappointing and not at the level we had previously experienced with Silversea. …

DISAPPOINTINGP&O Cruises | Adonia

We have sailed on Adonia before and enjoyed the experience so when we heard it had been revamped we booked again. Then we were told P&O had sold the vessel but the final cruises would be special and cruises to remember. Unfortunately, this was not the case. The entertainment was mediocre as was the food. The New Year Party was flat with the group singing everyday songs and nothing special to bring…

Cruise from hellRoyal Caribbean International | Voyager of the Seas

From the time we got on to the time we got off the ship Royal never adhered to their policies. I thought it was dress down every evening in the dining room, the likes of beach shorts and flip flops were being worn.
